But Israel put him to death with their swords. They took over his land. They took everything from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. But they didn’t take over any of the land of the Ammonites. That’s because the Ammonites had built strong forts along their border.

And Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as to the Ammonites, for the border of the Ammonites was strong.

But the Israelites slaughtered them with their swords and occupied their land from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. They went only as far as the Ammonite border because the boundary of the Ammonites was fortified.

摩西就把亚摩利王西宏和巴珊王噩的国土及周围的城邑都给了迦得的子孙、吕便的子孙和约瑟儿子玛拿西的半个支派。迦得的子孙重建了底本、亚他录、亚罗珥、亚他录·朔反、雅谢、约比哈、伯·宁拉和伯·哈兰，使之成为坚固的城池，并建了羊圈。吕便的子孙重建了希实本、以利亚利、基列亭、尼波、巴力·免和西比玛。他们为重建的城邑起了新名字，如尼波和巴力·免。玛拿西之子玛吉的子孙占领了基列，赶走了那里的亚摩利人。摩西就把基列赐给玛拿西的儿子玛吉，作他的居所。玛拿西的子孙雅珥占领了基列的村庄，将它们改名为哈倭特·雅珥。挪巴占领了基纳及其周围的村庄，就按自己的名字称基纳为挪巴。

把从基列到亚嫩谷，以谷中央为界，远至亚扪人的边界雅博河地区分给吕便支派和迦得支派。

后来，以法莲人召集军队，渡过约旦河来到撒分。他们对耶弗他说：“你为什么不召我们一起去攻打亚扪人呢？我们要把你和你的房子一起烧掉。”耶弗他说：“我和我的人民与亚扪人激战时，我曾召你们参战，你们却不肯来援救我们。

以色列人在约旦河东岸杀死了两个王，占据了他们的领土：自亚嫩谷直到黑门山，包括东面的整个亚拉巴。这两个王一个是住在希实本的亚摩利王西宏。他统辖的地区从亚嫩谷旁的亚罗珥，包括山谷中部和基列的一半，直到亚扪人边境的雅博河。他的领土还包括约旦河谷东部：从加利利海至亚拉巴海，也就是盐海，到伯·耶西末，直到毗斯迦的山麓。

但以色列的上帝耶和华帮助以色列人战胜西宏和他的军队，占领了他们所有的土地，从亚嫩河直到雅博河，从旷野直到约旦河。既然是以色列的上帝耶和华为祂的以色列子民赶走了亚摩利人，你凭什么要夺取这块土地？

祂毁灭列国，杀戮强大的君王：亚摩利王西宏、巴珊王噩和迦南所有的君王。祂把这些国家的土地赐给祂的以色列子民，作为他们的产业。

玛拿西半个支派和吕便、迦得两支派已经得到耶和华的仆人摩西在约旦河东分给他们的产业：从亚嫩谷旁的亚罗珥起，包括谷中的城，直到底本的整个米底巴平原，以及希实本的亚摩利王西宏统治的各城，直到亚扪的边境。

耶和华对我说，‘看啊，我已把西宏和他的土地交给你了，去占领那里，夺取他的土地吧。’西宏率领全军在雅杂与我们交战。我们的上帝耶和华使西宏父子及其军队败在我们手下，全军覆没。我们攻占了西宏的所有城邑，将其夷为平地，杀光城中的男女老幼，一个不留，只留下牲畜和财物作战利品。从亚嫩谷边的亚罗珥和谷中的城，直到基列的所有城邑全被我们攻克，我们的上帝耶和华把这一切都交给了我们。我们遵照我们的上帝耶和华的吩咐，没有侵犯亚扪人的土地，即雅博河一带和山区的城邑。
