“ Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.”

“ Get your walking stick. You and your brother Aaron gather the people together. Then speak to that rock while everyone is watching. It will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community. Then they and their livestock can drink it.”

爾當執此杖、以行異跡、○

耶和華曰、爾執擊河之杖、率以色列長老、為民先導。我立於何烈磐上、爾至時當擊斯磐、水由之出、使民得飲、摩西行是、以色列長老目擊之。

我之選民、行於曠野。濬厥江河、以供其飲、禽獸異類、野犬鴕鳥、靡不仰戴。

在野裂磐、使民得飲、猶挹清泉兮。水由磐出、流若溪河兮、

摩西告約書亞曰、爾當選士卒、詰朝與亞馬力人戰、我執上帝之杖、立於山巔。

耶穌曰、我誠告爾、爾有信不疑、不獨於此樹能行之、雖命此山、移去投海、亦能焉、

聖神與新婦語人曰、來、聞其聲者、亦當語人曰、來、渴者來此、欲得生命之水、固易易也、

耶穌曰、當信上帝、我誠告爾、凡命此山移去投海、而中心不疑、信所言必成、則所言可成也、吾語汝、祈禱時、不論何求、信則得之、

諸水滙聚、流至亞耳宅、近摩押界。

豈耶和華而有難行之事哉。明年屆期、我必復至、撒拉必生子。

爾曩所求、未托我名、今求而得之、則爾喜甚、

主裂磐而水泉流於曠野、有若溪河兮。

耶和華曰、爾所執者何。曰、杖。

貧乏之民、求水不得、口舌煩燥、莫能解渴、我耶和華以色列族之上帝、必聽其祈、而不遺棄。山谷之間、必出水泉、曠野之所、必成池沼、我使之然。

民饑則餅降自天、民渴則水湧於磐、昔爾誓以土地錫民、後復令民入而居之。

摩西舉杖、擊磐者二、水即汨汨其來、會眾群畜共飲焉。

摩西亞倫遵命、於法老及群臣前、以杖擊河、水咸變血。

天使以生命之河示我、其水澄潔如水晶、自上帝及羔位出、

於是祭司吹角、民聞之則號呼、其聲清越、城垣傾圮、民得前進、而取其城、

其聲清越、爾聞之、使民號呼、城垣傾圮、民得直進。

耶穌曰、倘爾識上帝之賜、與請飲者誰、爾求之、其必以活水與爾、婦曰、主、無汲器、井又深、何由得活水耶、我祖雅各、遺我此井、昔彼與子及畜、皆飲於此、爾豈大於彼乎、耶穌曰、飲此水必復渴、飲我所予之水、永不渴、我所予之水、必於其中為源、混混至永生也、

摩西挈妻拏、以驢乘之、執上帝杖以歸。

長者民牧、以杖以圭、掘之鑿之。以色列族離彼野、往馬大拿、

時維五旬節、門徒咸集、惟一心、忽自天有聲、如奮迅之風、充滿坐室、遂見火焰如舌、歧而止各人上、眾感聖神、克言各國方言、即聖神所傳授者、

主曰、宜有物、則有物、宜奠定、則奠定兮、

爾曹惡人、尚知以善物與子、何況天父、不更以聖神與求之者乎、○

偕數婦及耶穌母馬利亞、與其兄弟、壹心專務祈禱、

爾舉杖指海、海立中判、令以色列族行於海中、如履陸地。

導之於野、裂磐出泉、以解其渴。
