“ Aaron will be gathered to his people. He will not enter the land I give the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah.

“ Aaron will join the members of his family who have already died. He will not enter the land I am giving to the Israelites. Both of you refused to obey my command. You did it at the waters of Meribah.

“ Let Aaron be gathered to his people, for he shall not enter the land that I have given to the people of Israel, because you rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah.

“ The time has come for Aaron to join his ancestors in death. He will not enter the land I am giving the people of Israel, because the two of you rebelled against my instructions concerning the water at Meribah.

“你要为以色列人向米甸人报仇，然后归到你祖先那里。”

看了以后，你也必归到你祖先那里，像你哥哥亚伦归去一样。

至于你，你要平平安安归到你祖先那里，必享长寿，被人埋葬。

摩西和亚伦召集会众到磐石前。摩西对他们说：“听着，你们这些悖逆的人！我们要叫这磐石流出水来给你们吗？”摩西举起手来，用杖击打磐石两下，就有许多水流出来，会众和他们的牲畜都喝了。但是耶和华对摩西、亚伦说：“因为你们不信我，没有在以色列人眼前尊我为圣，所以你们必不能领这会众进入我所要赐给他们的地去。”

雅各嘱咐众子完毕后，就把脚收在床上断了气，归到他祖先那里去了。

那世代的人也都归到自己的列祖。后来兴起的另一世代不认识耶和华，也不知道他为以色列所做的事。

以撒年纪老迈，安享天年，息劳而终，归到他祖先那里。他两个儿子以扫和雅各把他安葬了。

以实玛利一生的岁数是一百三十七岁，断气而死，归到他祖先那里。

他又吩咐他们说：“我快要归到我祖先那里。你们要将我葬在赫人以弗仑田间的洞里，与我的祖先在一处，

革顺人的子孙一切的事奉，就是所当抬的，所当做的，都要遵照亚伦和他儿子的指示；他们所当抬的，你们要派他们负责。

看哪，我必使你归到你祖先那里，平安地进入坟墓，我要降于这地方和其上居民的一切灾祸，你不会亲眼看见。’”他们就去把这话回覆王。
