永恆主對摩西說：『你要從以色列長老中聚集七十個人、就是你所知道做人民的長老和官吏的、到我這裏來，領他們到會棚前，叫他們和你一同站在那裏。我要在那裏降臨，和你說話，也要把在你身上的靈分在他們身上，他們就要和你一同擔當這管理人民的責任，免得你獨自擔當。

永恆主在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，將在摩西身上的靈分與做長老的七十個人身上；當靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就受感動而發神言狂。以後卻沒有再發。
