Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said,“ We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”

Then Caleb interrupted the men speaking to Moses. He said,“ We should go up and take the land. We can certainly do it.”

But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said,“ Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.”

But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses.“ Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said.“ We can certainly conquer it!”

Then Caleb quieted the people in the presence of Moses and said,“ Let’s go up now and take possession of the land because we can certainly conquer it!”

惟獨我的僕人迦勒，因他另有一個心志，專一跟從我，我就把他領進他所去過的那地；他的後裔也必得那地為業。

窺探地的人中，嫩的兒子約書亞和耶孚尼的兒子迦勒撕裂衣服，對以色列全會眾說：「我們所窺探、經過之地是極美之地。耶和華若喜悅我們，就必將我們領進那地，把地賜給我們；那地原是流奶與蜜之地。但你們不可背叛耶和華，也不要怕那地的居民；因為他們是我們的食物，並且蔭庇他們的已經離開他們。有耶和華與我們同在，不要怕他們！」

既是這樣，還有甚麼說的呢？神若幫助我們，誰能敵擋我們呢？

我們倚靠神才得施展大能，因為踐踏我們敵人的就是他。

我靠着那加給我力量的，凡事都能做。

萬民圍繞我，我靠耶和華的名必剿滅他們。他們環繞我，圍困我，我靠耶和華的名必剿滅他們。

那時，猶大人來到吉甲見約書亞，有基尼洗族耶孚尼的兒子迦勒對約書亞說：「耶和華在加低斯‧巴尼亞指着我與你對神人摩西所說的話，你都知道了。耶和華的僕人摩西從加低斯‧巴尼亞打發我窺探這地，那時我正四十歲；我按着心意回報他。然而，同我上去的眾弟兄使百姓的心消化；但我專心跟從耶和華－我的神。

你不要害怕，因為我與你同在；不要驚惶，因為我是你的神。我必堅固你，我必幫助你；我必用我公義的右手扶持你。凡向你發怒的必都抱愧蒙羞；與你相爭的必如無有，並要滅亡。與你爭競的，你要找他們也找不着；與你爭戰的必如無有，成為虛無。因為我耶和華－你的神必攙扶你的右手，對你說：不要害怕！我必幫助你。你這蟲雅各和你們以色列人，不要害怕！耶和華說：我必幫助你。你的救贖主就是以色列的聖者。看哪，我已使你成為有快齒打糧的新器具；你要把山嶺打得粉碎，使岡陵如同糠粃。你要把它簸揚，風要吹去；旋風要把它颳散。你倒要以耶和華為喜樂，以以色列的聖者為誇耀。

然而，靠着愛我們的主，在這一切的事上已經得勝有餘了。

他們因着信，制伏了敵國，行了公義，得了應許，堵了獅子的口，

耶和華是我的亮光，是我的拯救，我還怕誰呢？耶和華是我性命的保障，我還懼誰呢？那作惡的就是我的仇敵，前來吃我肉的時候就絆跌仆倒。
