This was their report to Moses:“ We entered the land you sent us to explore, and it is indeed a bountiful country— a land flowing with milk and honey. Here is the kind of fruit it produces.

他們向摩西敘說：『我們到了你所打發我們去的那地，果然是流奶與蜜的；這就是它的果子。

謂摩西曰、爾遣我所往之地、我已至焉、果流乳蜜、此其菓也、

曰爾遣我所往之地、我已至焉、果產乳蜜、此其果也。

告摩西曰、我儕至爾所遣我往之地、其地果流乳與蜜、此其果也、

They gave Moses this account:“ We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit.

They gave Moses their report. They said,“ We went into the land you sent us to. It really does have plenty of milk and honey! Here’s some fruit from the land.

And they told him,“ We came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

They reported to Moses,“ We went into the land where you sent us. Indeed it is flowing with milk and honey, and here is some of its fruit.

So they reported to him and said,“ We came into the land where you sent us, and it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

Then they told him, and said:“ We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us; and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

They reported to Moses:“ We went into the land where you sent us. Indeed it is flowing with milk and honey, and here is some of its fruit.

And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this[ is] the fruit of it.

They told Moses,“ We went to the land where you sent us. It is indeed flowing with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

They told him, and said,“ We came to the land where you sent us. Surely it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey— the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.

I have promised to rescue you from your oppression in Egypt. I will lead you to a land flowing with milk and honey— the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.”’

You must celebrate this event in this month each year after the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Hivites, and Jebusites.( He swore to your ancestors that he would give you this land— a land flowing with milk and honey.)

For I will bring them into the land I swore to give their ancestors— a land flowing with milk and honey. There they will become prosperous, eat all the food they want, and become fat. But they will begin to worship other gods; they will despise me and break my covenant.

Go up to this land that flows with milk and honey. But I will not travel among you, for you are a stubborn and rebellious people. If I did, I would surely destroy you along the way.”

He brought us to this place and gave us this land flowing with milk and honey!

Write this whole body of instruction on them when you cross the river to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you— a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

Afterward you may go and celebrate because of all the good things the Lord your God has given to you and your household. Remember to include the Levites and the foreigners living among you in the celebration.“ Every third year you must offer a special tithe of your crops. In this year of the special tithe you must give your tithes to the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows, so that they will have enough to eat in your towns.Then you must declare in the presence of the Lord your God,‘ I have taken the sacred gift from my house and have given it to the Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows, just as you commanded me. I have not violated or forgotten any of your commands.I have not eaten any of it while in mourning; I have not handled it while I was ceremonially unclean; and I have not offered any of it to the dead. I have obeyed the Lord my God and have done everything you commanded me.Now look down from your holy dwelling place in heaven and bless your people Israel and the land you swore to our ancestors to give us— a land flowing with milk and honey.’

If you obey, you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors and to you, their descendants— a land flowing with milk and honey!

They picked some of its fruit and brought it back to us. And they reported,‘ The land the Lord our God has given us is indeed a good land.’“ But you rebelled against the command of the Lord your God and refused to go in.You complained in your tents and said,‘ The Lord must hate us. That’s why he has brought us here from Egypt— to hand us over to the Amorites to be slaughtered.Where can we go? Our brothers have demoralized us with their report. They tell us,“ The people of the land are taller and more powerful than we are, and their towns are large, with walls rising high into the sky! We even saw giants there— the descendants of Anak!”’“ But I said to you,‘ Don’t be shocked or afraid of them!The Lord your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt.And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place.’“ But even after all he did, you refused to trust the Lord your God,who goes before you looking for the best places to camp, guiding you with a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day.

And if the Lord is pleased with us, he will bring us safely into that land and give it to us. It is a rich land flowing with milk and honey.

Listen closely, Israel, and be careful to obey. Then all will go well with you, and you will have many children in the land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

The Israelites had traveled in the wilderness for forty years until all the men who were old enough to fight in battle when they left Egypt had died. For they had disobeyed the Lord, and the Lord vowed he would not let them enter the land he had sworn to give us— a land flowing with milk and honey.

But I have promised you,‘ You will possess their land because I will give it to you as your possession— a land flowing with milk and honey.’ I am the Lord your God, who has set you apart from all other people.

I took a solemn oath that day that I would bring them out of Egypt to a land I had discovered and explored for them— a good land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the best of all lands anywhere.

I said this so I could keep my promise to your ancestors to give you a land flowing with milk and honey— the land you live in today.’” Then I replied,“ Amen, Lord! May it be so.”

You gave the people of Israel this land that you had promised their ancestors long before— a land flowing with milk and honey.

But I took a solemn oath against them in the wilderness. I swore I would not bring them into the land I had given them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful place on earth.
