Instead, appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle of the covenant law— over all its furnishings and everything belonging to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they are to take care of it and encamp around it.

Instead, put the Levites in charge of the holy tent. That is where the tablets of the covenant law are kept. The Levites will be in charge of everything that belongs to the holy tent. 皆當於會幕後、西向列營。拉利子以利亞薩為革順族長。革順人所守者、會幕、及其蓋、幬為幕門、幕帷、及壇四周之場帷、幬為場門、及所用之索。○屬哥轄者、有暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯崙、烏泄四族、其諸丁男、自一月以上、計八千六百、使守聖所、皆當於會幕南向列營。烏泄子以利撒反、為哥轄族長。哥轄人所守者、法匱、几案、燈臺、祭壇、香壇、與幬、及聖室器皿、用以服事者。祭司亞倫子以利亞撒為利未族諸長之冠、統理守聖室之人。○屬米喇哩者、有抹利母示二族、其諸丁男、自一月以上、計六千二百、皆當於會幕北向列營、亞庇孩子蘇列為米喇哩族長。米喇哩人所守者、會幕之板、楗、柱、座、與所用器皿、及場四周之柱、座、釘、索。○惟摩西亞倫及亞倫子、於會幕前、東向列營、代以色列族守其所守、護持聖室、外人近之、必致死亡。

即會幕、與其蓋、在上之貂皮、幬為幕門、幕帷、及壇四周之場帷、幬為場門、索與器皿、以供役事者、悉當負戴。亞倫及其子、當命革順人供役負重、所守所事、悉從爾命。今所言會幕之什物、革順人所當負戴、祭司亞倫子以大馬統理之。○米喇哩子孫、循其世系宗族、自三十歲至五十、能從事於會幕者、宜核其數、其所負戴之什物、即會幕之板、楗、柱、座、場四周之柱、座、釘、索、與所用器皿、以供役事者、皆按籍以記。今所言會幕之什物、米喇哩子孫所當負戴、祭司亞倫子以大馬統理之。○

利未人應得之物、民未與焉、故利未人、謳歌者、不復供役於殿、歸耕畎畝。我聞此、責諸伯曰、上帝之殿何不恪守、遂招徠利未人、使復厥職。猶大人攜穀之什一、新製之油、始釀之酒、藏於府庫。我使人理府庫、即祭司示利米、士子撒督、利未人比太亞、其次馬大尼孫、撒刻子哈難、此數人者、皆竭忠以供同宗為職。

我使利未人、潔其身體、防範邑門、恪守安息日、以為聖日、我既行此、望上帝垂念、恆懷矜憫、宥我罪愆。

乃立營門、曰、孰崇耶和華可歸我。利未族歸之。摩西曰、以色列之上帝耶和華曰、眾必繫刀於腰、出入營門、殺其兄弟、友朋鄰里。利未族從其言、是日以色列民死亡者、不下三千人。摩西曰、今日爾任職、奉事耶和華、攻爾子女兄弟、如是耶和華錫爾純嘏。○

今在所羅把伯、尼希米時、以色列族眾、日以所應得者、給於謳歌之人、司閽之役、獻物於利未人、利未人獻物於亞倫子孫。

以王與言官、群伯、以色列眾所輸之金銀器皿、供我上帝殿、權衡其數。得銀九十七萬五千兩、金銀器皿、各十五萬兩。金盂二十、重六千兩、銅盂二、其色光華、可比兼金。我告祭司曰、爾潔己奉事耶和華、金銀器皿為人樂輸、奉事我列祖之上帝耶和華、亦視為潔。爾當恪守、迨於耶路撒冷、耶和華殿中、祭司諸長、利未人、以色列族中最著者前、再權衡之。祭司利未人收金銀器皿、運至耶路撒冷、入上帝殿、

巴西王大利烏年間、以利亞實、耶何耶大、約哈難、押土亞、尚存之時、上所載之祭司及利未族中最著者、皆錄於册。

主在西乃山、耶和華諭摩西時、摩西亞倫之紀畧、臚列如左。亞倫首生拿答、次生亞庇戶、以利亞撒以大馬、亞倫諸子、咸受香膏、任為祭司、拿答亞庇戶在西乃野、燃不聖之火、以獻耶和華、故死於其前、二人無子、以利亞撒、以大馬與父亞倫同為祭司。○耶和華諭摩西曰、可使利未族近前、侍於祭司亞倫側、而輔翼之、從事於會幕前、代亞倫及會眾、守所當守、守會幕之器、代以色列族、守所當守、從事於此。爾在以色列族中、必以利未人、悉畀亞倫及其子、使為助理。惟立亞倫及其子為祭司、以守其職、外人近聖室、必致死亡。○

利未人臚列於左、耶書亞、品內、甲滅、示哩比、猶大、馬大尼、馬大尼與其同宗首發聲頌讚上帝。

大闢年邁、使子所羅門為王、治以色列族、召群臣祭司利未人咸至。利未人自三十歲以上者、則錄於册、計三萬八千人、其中二萬四千掌建耶和華殿、六千督工師理民人、四千為閽者、四千用大闢所作樂器、頌讚耶和華。大闢分利未人為班列、即革順、哥轄、米喇哩、革順家有拉但、示每、拉但生三子、孟耶葉、仲西擔、季約耳、為拉但族中最著者、示每生三子、示羅黑、哈泄、合蘭、

耶和華之選民、支派相沿、循以色列族之常例、陟彼高岡、頌美耶和華兮、

利未人立營、四周法幕、以為範衛、免以色列族干我震怒。

哥轄子孫、負聖室之什物遄征、先行之利未人建置會幕、以待後至者。

摩西舉杖、擊磐者二、水即汨汨其來、會眾群畜共飲焉。
