For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you gave them into the hands of the neighboring peoples.

For many years you put up with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. In spite of that, they didn’t pay any attention. So you handed them over to the nations that were around them.

Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.

In your love, you were patient with them for many years. You sent your Spirit, who warned them through the prophets. But still they wouldn’t listen! So once again you allowed the peoples of the land to conquer them.

“你们这硬着颈项、心与耳未受割礼的人，时常抗拒圣灵！你们的祖宗怎样，你们也怎样。

谁将雅各交出当作掳物，将以色列交给抢夺的呢？岂不是耶和华吗？就是我们所得罪的那位。他们不肯遵行他的道，也不听从他的训诲。

就是考察在他们心里基督的灵，预先证明基督受苦难，后来得荣耀，是指着什么时候，并怎样的时候。

因为预言从来没有出于人意的，乃是人被圣灵感动，说出神的话来。

还是你藐视他丰富的恩慈、宽容、忍耐，不晓得他的恩慈是领你悔改呢？

现在我告诉你们，我要向我葡萄园怎样行：我必撤去篱笆，使它被吞灭，拆毁墙垣，使它被践踏。我必使它荒废，不再修理，不再锄刨，荆棘蒺藜倒要生长。我也必命云不降雨在其上。

万军之耶和华说：“我曾呼唤他们，他们不听；将来他们呼求我，我也不听！

耶和华成就了他所定的，应验了他古时所命定的。他倾覆了，并不顾惜，使你的仇敌向你夸耀；使你敌人的角也被高举。

他们竟悖逆，使主的圣灵担忧。他就转作他们的仇敌，亲自攻击他们。

又警戒他们，要使他们归服你的律法。他们却行事狂傲，不听从你的诫命，干犯你的典章（人若遵行就必因此活着），扭转肩头，硬着颈项，不肯听从。

“然而，他们不顺从，竟背叛你，将你的律法丢在背后，杀害那劝他们归向你的众先知，大大惹动你的怒气。

但耶和华藉众先知、先见劝戒以色列人和犹大人说：“当离开你们的恶行，谨守我的诫命律例，遵行我吩咐你们列祖，并藉我仆人众先知所传给你们的律法。”他们却不听从，竟硬着颈项，效法他们列祖，不信服耶和华他们的神，厌弃他的律例和他与他们列祖所立的约，并劝戒他们的话，随从虚无的神，自己成为虚妄，效法周围的外邦人，就是耶和华嘱咐他们不可效法的；离弃耶和华他们神的一切诫命，为自己铸了两个牛犊的像，立了亚舍拉，敬拜天上的万象，侍奉巴力，又使他们的儿女经火，用占卜，行法术卖了自己，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，惹动他的怒气。所以耶和华向以色列人大大发怒，从自己面前赶出他们，只剩下犹大一个支派。

耶和华他们列祖的神因为爱惜自己的民和他的居所，从早起来差遣使者去警戒他们。他们却嘻笑神的使者，藐视他的言语，讥诮他的先知，以致耶和华的忿怒向他的百姓发作，无法可救。

自从你们列祖出埃及地的那日，直到今日，我差遣我的仆人众先知到你们那里去，每日从早起来差遣他们。

护卫长将耶利米叫来，对他说：“耶和华你的神曾说要降这祸与此地。耶和华使这祸临到，照他所说的行了；因为你们得罪耶和华，没有听从他的话，所以这事临到你们。

主啊，你是有怜悯有恩典的神，不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的慈爱和诚实。

他们彼此不合，就散了；未散以先，保罗说了一句话，说：“圣灵藉先知以赛亚向你们祖宗所说的话是不错的。

耶和华也从早起来，差遣他的仆人众先知到你们这里来（只是你们没有听从，也没有侧耳而听），

耶和华因你们所作的恶、所行可憎的事，不能再容忍，所以你们的地荒凉，令人惊骇咒诅，无人居住，正如今日一样。

又在旷野容忍他们，约有四十年。

你也赐下你良善的灵教训他们；未尝不赐吗哪使他们糊口，并赐水解他们的渴。

主所应许的尚未成就，有人以为他是耽延，其实不是耽延，乃是宽容你们，不愿有一人沉沦，乃愿人人都悔改。
