But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,

But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy,When He worked His signs in Egypt, And His wonders in the field of Zoan;

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.“ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.“ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

They soon forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel,

So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.

Many times He delivered them; But they rebelled in their counsel, And were brought low for their iniquity.Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry;And for their sake He remembered His covenant, And relented according to the multitude of His mercies.He also made them to be pitied By all those who carried them away captive.

But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, And did not destroy them. Yes, many a time He turned His anger away, And did not stir up all His wrath;

Then they despised the pleasant land; They did not believe His word,But complained in their tents, And did not heed the voice of the Lord.

Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember the multitude of Your mercies, But rebelled by the sea— the Red Sea.

‘ The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy, just as You have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.”

Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?”So they said to one another,“ Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”

The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities.For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him.For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more.But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

Moreover you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!”

Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.

But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me.Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.

And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed,“ The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.”

Then the Lord said to Moses:“ How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.

whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt,

Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up?How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?— but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

And Moses said,“ Now why do you transgress the command of the Lord? For this will not succeed.

For He says to Moses,“ I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,

Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,

May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us,
