In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

When the people were hungry, you gave them bread from heaven. When they were thirsty, you brought them water out of a rock. You told them to go into the land of Canaan. You told them to take it as their own. It was the land you had promised to give them.

我於何烈磐上、向爾而立、爾擊斯磐、水由之出、使民得飲、摩西遂於以色列長老前行此、

皆食一靈食、皆飲一靈飲、蓋所飲者、出自相隨之靈磐、夫磐即基督也、

昔耶和華誓以斯土、錫爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各、及其苗裔、今地具在爾前、可入而據之、○

耶和華諭摩西曰、我必自天雨糧、民宜日出、斂日所需、以試其遵我法律否、

厥露既晞、野有圓物、細微如霜、以色列民見而弗識、相語曰、此何物耶、摩西曰、此耶和華食爾之糧、

應其所求、使鶉至止、飽以天糧兮、闢磐石而水湧、流入旱地若河兮、

我復在野發誓、必不導之入我所賜流乳與蜜之地、即諸地之美者、

彼變磐石為池沼、堅石為源泉兮、

昔我祖食瑪那於野、記有之、主以自天之餅食之、耶穌曰、我誠語汝、非摩西賜爾自天之餅、乃我父以自天之真餅賜爾也、蓋上帝之餅、乃降自天、以生賜世者也、僉曰、主歟、常以斯餅賜我、耶穌曰、我乃維生之餅、就我者必不飢、信我者永不渴、

彼卑抑爾、任爾饑餓、食以瑪那、爾與爾祖所未識者、俾知人之生、不第恃食、惟恃耶和華口所出之言、

引爾經歷大而可畏之野、中有火蛇與蠍、旱乾無水之域、為爾使堅石出水、又於野間、食爾以瑪那、乃爾祖所未識者、卑抑爾、試驗爾、俾終獲福、

錫爾聖善之靈、以訓迪之、使瑪那不缺於其口、賜水以解其渴、

雨瑪那以食之、錫以天糧兮、人食能者之食、上帝賜糧、使之果腹兮、

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾其執杖、與汝兄亞倫集會眾、於其前命磐出水、必使水出於磐、遍飲會眾、及厥牲畜、摩西遵命、取杖於耶和華前、與亞倫集會眾於磐前、摩西曰、爾叛逆之輩聽之、我為爾取水於磐乎、摩西舉杖、擊磐者二、水即汨汨其來、會眾羣畜共飲焉、耶和華諭摩西亞倫曰、汝不我信、不尊我為聖於以色列族前不得導斯眾入我所賜之地、以色列族與耶和華爭、致耶和華顯為聖於其中、故斯水稱曰米利巴、○

試觀爾上帝耶和華備斯土於爾前、當循爾祖之上帝耶和華言、前往據之、毋懼毋怯、

俱不得入、我誓賜爾以居之地、惟耶孚尼子迦勒、及嫩之子約書亞入之、

我僕摩西死矣、今爾與民起而濟此約但、往我所賜以色列族之地、凡爾足所履之處、我悉以錫爾、如我昔與摩西所言、自曠野暨利巴嫩、至伯拉大河、赫族全地、爰及大海日入之所、咸為爾境、

以臂救贖爾民、雅各約瑟之裔兮、上帝歟、諸水見爾、見而驚惶、深淵亦戰慄兮、雲傾水、天發聲、爾矢四馳兮、雷聲發於狂飇、電照寰宇、大地顫動兮、爾路在海、爾徑在淵、蹤跡莫能知之兮、爾曾假手摩西亞倫、導爾民如羣羊兮、

亞伯蘭曰、我已舉手、指至高之上帝、天地之主宰耶和華而誓、
