Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and teacher of the Law, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all,“ This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.

Nehemiah was the governor. Ezra was a priest and the teacher of the Law. They spoke up. So did the Levites who were teaching the people. All these men said to the people,“ This day is set apart to honor the Lord your God. So don’t weep. Don’t be sad.” All the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.

And Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people,“ This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law.

有些族长为工程捐助。省长捐入库房中的有一千达利克金子，五十个碗，五百三十件祭司的礼服。

用印的是哈迦利亚的儿子尼希米省长、西底家；

在节期中，你和你的儿女、仆婢，以及住在你城里的利未人、寄居的和孤儿寡妇，都要欢乐。在耶和华所选择的地方，你要向耶和华—你的神守节七日，因为耶和华—你的神要在你一切的收成上和你手里所做的一切赐福给你，你就非常欢乐。

“你要吩咐以色列人说：七月初一，你们要守为完全安息的日子，要吹角作纪念，当有圣会。

你和你的儿女、仆婢，以及住在你城里的利未人、在你中间寄居的和孤儿寡妇，都要在那里，耶和华—你神选择作为他名居所的地方，在耶和华—你神面前欢乐。

省长对他们说，不可吃至圣的物，直到有会用乌陵和土明的祭司兴起来。

“七月初一，你们当有圣会；任何劳动的工都不可做，是你们当守为吹角的日子。你们要将一头公牛犊、一只公绵羊、七只一岁的小公羊，都是没有残疾的，献给耶和华为馨香的燔祭。要同时献调了油的细面为素祭：每头公牛要献十分之三伊法；每只公绵羊要献十分之二伊法；为那七只小公羊，每只要献十分之一伊法。此外，要献一只公山羊作赎罪祭，为你们赎罪。除了初一的燔祭和同献的素祭、经常献的燔祭与同献的素祭，以及同献的浇酒祭以外，这些都照例作为馨香的火祭献给耶和华。”

以前没有律法的时候，我是活的；但是诫命来到，罪活起来，

亚达薛西王赐给精通耶和华诫命和以色列律例的文士以斯拉祭司的谕旨，抄本如下：

为锡安悲哀的人，赐华冠代替灰烬，喜乐的油代替悲哀，赞美为衣代替忧伤的灵；称他们为“公义树”，是耶和华所栽植的，为要彰显他的荣耀。

我守丧的时候，没有吃这圣物，不洁净的时候，也没有拿出来，又没有把它献给死人。我听从了耶和华—我神的话，都照你一切所吩咐的做了。

他对那归耶和华为圣、教导以色列众人的利未人说：“你们将圣约柜安放在以色列王大卫儿子所罗门建造的殿里，不必再用肩扛抬。现在你们要服事耶和华—你们的神和他的百姓以色列。

耶书亚、巴尼、示利比、雅悯、亚谷、沙比太、荷第雅、玛西雅、基利他、亚撒利雅、约撒拔、哈难、毗莱雅和利未人使百姓明白律法；百姓都站在自己的地方。他们清清楚楚地念神的律法书，讲明意思，使百姓明白所念的。

希西家慰劳所有精通礼仪，事奉耶和华的利未人。于是众人吃节期的筵席七日，又献平安祭，并且称谢耶和华—他们列祖的神。

就是听见我指着这地方和其上的居民说，要使这地方变为荒芜、百姓受诅咒的话，你的心就软化，在耶和华面前谦卑下来，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我应允你。这是耶和华说的。

如今我欢喜，不是因你们曾忧愁，而是因忧愁导致你们的悔改。你们依着神的意思忧愁，凡事就不至于因我们受亏损了。因为依着神的意思而忧愁，就生出没有懊悔的悔改来，以致得救；但世俗的忧愁叫人死。你看，你们依着神的意思而忧愁，这在你们当中产生了何等的殷勤、甚至辩白、甚至愤慨、甚至恐惧、甚至渴望、甚至热忱、甚至责罚。在这一切事上，你们都表明自己是无可指责的。

我的百姓因无知识而灭亡。你抛弃知识，我也必抛弃你，使你不再作我的祭司。你既忘了你神的律法，我也必忘记你的儿女。

这些人都在约撒达的孙子，耶书亚的儿子约雅金和尼希米省长，以及以斯拉祭司文士的时代供职。

王听见律法书上的话，就撕裂衣服。

所以，凡血肉之躯没有一个能因律法的行为而在神面前称义，因为律法本是要人认识罪。

以色列人不信真神，没有训诲的祭司，也没有律法，已经许多日子了。

你们又再做这样的事，使哭泣和叹息的眼泪遮盖耶和华的祭坛，以致耶和华不再理会那供物，也不喜欢从你们的手中收纳。

王听见律法的话，就撕裂衣服。

“你们去，以所发现这书上的话，为我、为以色列和犹大幸存的人求问耶和华；因为我们的祖先没有遵守耶和华的话，没有照这书上所记的一切去做，耶和华的烈怒就倒在我们身上。”
