亞伯蘭對所多瑪王說：“我已經向創造天地的主、至高的神耶和華舉手起誓；

有火從耶和華面前出來，燒盡了祭壇上的燔祭和脂肪；眾民看見了，就大聲歡呼，俯伏在地。

我要一生稱頌你，我要奉你的名舉手禱告。

大衛對全體會眾說：“你們應當稱頌耶和華你們的神。”於是全體會眾就稱頌耶和華他們列祖的神，俯伏敬拜耶和華和王。

我向你呼求，向你的至聖所舉手禱告的時候，求你垂聽我懇求的聲音。

希西家王和眾領袖，又吩咐利未人用大衛和先見亞薩的詩詞讚美耶和華，於是他們歡歡喜喜地讚美耶和華，低頭敬拜。

不要讓我們陷入試探，救我們脫離那惡者。’﹙有些後期抄本在此有“因為國度、權柄、榮耀，全是你的，直到永遠。阿們”一句。﹚

“阿們！願耶和華這樣行，願耶和華使你預言的話應驗，把耶和華殿中的器皿和所有被擄的人，都從巴比倫帶回這地方來。

我們主耶穌基督的父神是應當稱頌的。他在基督裡，曾經把天上各種屬靈的福分賜給我們：

所有的天使都站在寶座、眾長老和四個活物的四周。他們在寶座前，面伏在地上敬拜神，

不然，如果你用靈讚美，在場那些不明白的人，因為不知道你在說甚麼，怎能在你感謝的時候說“阿們”呢？

耶和華以色列的神是應當稱頌的，從永遠直到永遠。阿們，阿們。
