被虜而歸之眾、咸搆廬、坐其中、喜樂無量、自嫩之子約書亞時、迄於今日、以色列族守搆廬節、未有若是之樂、

被擄而歸之眾、構廬以居其中、自嫩之子約書亞時、至於今日、以色列人從未有如此行、於是民大喜樂、

The whole company that had returned from exile built temporary shelters and lived in them. From the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day, the Israelites had not celebrated it like this. And their joy was very great.

All the people who had returned from the land of Babylon made booths. They lived in them during the Feast of Booths. They hadn’t celebrated the feast with so much joy for a long time. In fact, they had never celebrated it like that from the days of Joshua, the son of Nun, until that day. So their joy was very great.

And all the assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and lived in the booths, for from the days of Jeshua the son of Nun to that day the people of Israel had not done so. And there was very great rejoicing.

So everyone who had returned from captivity lived in these shelters during the festival, and they were all filled with great joy! The Israelites had not celebrated like this since the days of Joshua son of Nun.

又遵照摩西的吩咐，在安息日、初一，以及每年在除酵节、七七节、住棚节三个节期，献每日所当献上的祭。

并照律法书上所写的守住棚节，按数照例每日献所当献的燔祭。

那时所罗门守节七日，从哈马口直到埃及溪谷的以色列众人都与他同在一起，成了一个极其盛大的会。第八日他们举行严肃会，行奉献坛的礼七日，守节七日。七月二十三日，王差遣百姓回自己的帐棚去；他们为耶和华向大卫和所罗门，以及他百姓以色列所施的恩惠，心里都欢喜快乐。

道成了肉身，住在我们中间，充充满满地有恩典有真理，我们也见过他的荣光，正是父独一儿子的荣光。

那日，他们在耶和华面前吃喝，大大欢乐。他们再次立大卫的儿子所罗门作王，膏他归耶和华作君王，又膏撒督作祭司。

自从撒母耳先知的日子以来，在以色列中没有守过这样的逾越节，以色列诸王也没有守过像约西亚、祭司、利未人、所有住犹大和以色列的人，以及耶路撒冷居民所守的逾越节。

在耶路撒冷的以色列人守除酵节七日，大大喜乐。利未人和祭司为耶和华演奏响亮的乐器，天天颂赞耶和华。希西家慰劳所有精通礼仪，事奉耶和华的利未人。于是众人吃节期的筵席七日，又献平安祭，并且称谢耶和华—他们列祖的神。全会众商议，要再守节七日；于是他们欢欢喜喜地又守节七日。

因着信，他就在所应许之地作客，好像在异乡，居住在帐棚里，与蒙同一个应许的以撒和雅各一样。

若是约书亚已使他们享了安息，后来神就不会再提别的日子了。

这样，在耶路撒冷大有喜乐，因自从以色列王大卫的儿子所罗门以来，在耶路撒冷从未有过这样的喜乐。

这些人都是存着信心死的，并没有得着所应许的，却从远处观望，且欢喜迎接。他们承认自己在地上是客旅，是寄居的。

耶和华的仆人摩西死了以后，耶和华对摩西的助手嫩的儿子约书亚说：
