被虜而歸之眾、咸搆廬、坐其中、喜樂無量、自嫩之子約書亞時、迄於今日、以色列族守搆廬節、未有若是之樂、

被擄而歸之眾、構廬以居其中、自嫩之子約書亞時、至於今日、以色列人從未有如此行、於是民大喜樂、

The whole company that had returned from exile built temporary shelters and lived in them. From the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day, the Israelites had not celebrated it like this. And their joy was very great.

All the people who had returned from the land of Babylon made booths. They lived in them during the Feast of Booths. They hadn’t celebrated the feast with so much joy for a long time. In fact, they had never celebrated it like that from the days of Joshua, the son of Nun, until that day. So their joy was very great.

And all the assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and lived in the booths, for from the days of Jeshua the son of Nun to that day the people of Israel had not done so. And there was very great rejoicing.

So everyone who had returned from captivity lived in these shelters during the festival, and they were all filled with great joy! The Israelites had not celebrated like this since the days of Joshua son of Nun.

又照著摩西的吩咐，在安息日、初一和一年三次特定的節期，就是除酵節、七七節、住棚節，獻上每日當獻的。

他們又按照律法上所記載的守住棚節，每天照著規定的數目獻上當天的燔祭。

那時，所羅門和全體以色列人，就是來自哈馬口，直到埃及小河的一群極大的會眾，一起舉行了七天的節期。第八天舉行了嚴肅會，又舉行獻壇禮七天，舉行了七天的節期。七月二十三日，王遣散眾民回家；他們因看見耶和華向大衛、所羅門和他的子民以色列所施的恩惠，心裡都歡喜快樂。

道成了肉身，住在我們中間，滿有恩典和真理。我們見過他的榮光，正是從父而來的獨生子的榮光。

那一天，他們十分喜樂地在耶和華面前吃喝。他們再次表示擁立大衛的兒子所羅門作王，膏他為耶和華作君王，又膏撒督作祭司。

自從撒母耳先知的日子以來，在以色列中沒有守過像這樣的逾越節；以色列諸王也都沒有守過這樣的逾越節，像約西亞、祭司、利未人、猶大眾人和在場的以色列人，以及耶路撒冷的居民守的。

在耶路撒冷的以色列人，都十分歡樂地守除酵節七天；利未人和祭司天天讚美耶和華，用響亮的樂器讚美耶和華。希西家慰勉所有善於事奉耶和華的利未人；眾人吃節筵七日，又獻上平安祭，稱頌耶和華他們列祖的神。全體會眾商議好了，要再守節期七天，於是他們歡歡喜喜地又舉行了七天。

因著信，他在應許之地寄居，好像是在異鄉，與承受同樣應許的以撒、雅各一樣住在帳棚裡。

如果約書亞已經使他們享受了安息，神後來就不會再提到別的日子了。

這樣，在耶路撒冷有極大的歡樂，自從以色列王大衛的兒子所羅門的日子以來，在耶路撒冷都沒有像這樣的歡樂。

這些人都是存著信心死了的，還沒有得著所應許的，只不過是從遠處看見，就表示歡迎，又承認他們在世上是異鄉人，是客旅。

耶和華的僕人摩西死了以後，耶和華吩咐摩西的侍從，嫩的兒子約書亞，說：
