Remember Tobiah and Sanballat, my God, because of what they have done; remember also the prophet Noadiah and how she and the rest of the prophets have been trying to intimidate me.

Alexander, the coppersmith, did much evil to me. The Lord will repay him according to his deeds,of whom you also must beware; for he greatly opposed our words.

Therefore Yahweh says concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name, but I didn’t send them, yet they say,‘ Sword and famine will not be in this land.’ Those prophets will be consumed by sword and famine.

Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Don’t let their evil plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah.As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.Let burning coals fall on them. Let them be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, from where they never rise.An evil speaker won’t be established in the earth. Evil will hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

to wit, the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace,’” says the Lord Yahweh.’”You, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them,

For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don’t say that he should make a request concerning this.

If I go out into the field, then, behold, the slain with the sword! If I enter into the city, then, behold, those who are sick with famine! For both the prophet and the priest go about in the land, and have no knowledge.’”

That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

But, Yahweh of Armies, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, I will see your vengeance on them; for to you I have revealed my cause.“ Therefore Yahweh says concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying,‘ You shall not prophesy in Yahweh’s name, that you not die by our hand;’therefore Yahweh of Armies says,‘ Behold, I will punish them. The young men will die by the sword. Their sons and their daughters will die by famine.There will be no remnant to them, for I will bring evil on the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.’”

The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

Remember me, my God, for good, all that I have done for this people.

“ Hear, our God; for we are despised. Turn back their reproach on their own head. Give them up for a plunder in a land of captivity.Don’t cover their iniquity. Don’t let their sin be blotted out from before you; for they have insulted the builders.”

Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind, who concerning the faith are rejected.

Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it.

Therefore Yahweh will cut off from Israel head and tail, palm branch and reed, in one day.The elder and the honorable man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail.

Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet,“ Listen, Hananiah! Yahweh has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.

Yahweh said to him,‘ How?’ He said,‘ I will go out and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ He said,‘ You will entice him, and will also prevail. Go out and do so.’Now therefore, behold, Yahweh has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and Yahweh has spoken evil concerning you.”Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said,“ Which way did Yahweh’s Spirit go from me to speak to you?”
