Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate. They sanctified it, and set up its doors. They sanctified it even to the tower of Hammeah, to the tower of Hananel.

過以法蓮門、舊門、魚門、哈拿業之戍樓、米亞之戍樓、至羊門、至獄門而止、

主曰、時日將至、斯邑必為我名復建、自哈楠業戍樓、至邑隅之門、

全地必變為平原、變為平原或作變若亞拉巴自迦巴延及臨門、在耶路撒冷之南、耶路撒冷城必將高起、高起或作崛興其中人民、仍居原處、自便雅憫門至於古門之處、古門之處或作先前有門之處延及邑隅之門、自哈楠業戍樓至王之壓酒處、

大祭司以利雅實子耶何耶大、其子之一、為和倫人參巴拉之壻、故我逐之離我、

金工與商賈、修葺自城隅樓至羊門、

由爾貲財獻禮物於主、並薦土產之初實者、以此敬主、

主歟、我惟讚美主為至上、因主救援我、不容我敵因勝我而歡喜、

爾無論行何道、當思念主、則主必使爾道途平直、

其次、薩拜子巴錄、竭力修葺一段、自城隅至大祭司以利雅實之宅門前、

祭司與利未人自潔、亦潔民與城門及城垣、○

參巴拉、多比雅、亞拉伯人基善、與我其餘之敵人、聞我建城已畢、城垣已無損缺、其時我尚未置扉於城門、

城垣已成、我安置門扉、又使謳歌者、守門者、並他利未人、咸供其職、

族長當告民曰、誰建室尚未落成、可去而歸家、死亡於戰而他人落成、
