又赐诏书，给看守王的园林的亚萨，吩咐他给我木材，建造圣殿的营楼大门的横梁，以及建造城墙和我要入住的房屋。”因为我的神施恩的手帮助我，王就赐给我这一切。

And may I have a letter to Asaph, keeper of the royal park, so he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel by the temple and for the city wall and for the residence I will occupy?” And because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests.

May I also have a letter to Asaph? He takes care of the royal park. I want him to give me some logs so I can make beams out of them. I want to use them for the gates of the fort that is by the temple. Some of the logs will also be used in the city wall. And I’ll need some for the house I’m going to live in.” God was kind to me and helped me. So the king gave me what I asked for.

and a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress of the temple, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall occupy.” And the king granted me what I asked, for the good hand of my God was upon me.

And please give me a letter addressed to Asaph, the manager of the king’s forest, instructing him to give me timber. I will need it to make beams for the gates of the Temple fortress, for the city walls, and for a house for myself.” And the king granted these requests, because the gracious hand of God was on me.

And let me have a letter written to Asaph, keeper of the king’s forest, so that he will give me timber to rebuild the gates of the temple’s fortress, the city wall, and the home where I will live.” The king granted my requests, for the gracious hand of my God was on me.

and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, so that he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel which is by the temple, for the wall of the city, and for the house to which I will go.” And the king granted them to me because the good hand of my God was on me.

And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.

and a letter for Asaph the keeper of the king’s nature preserve, so that he will give me timber for beams for the gates of the fortress adjacent to the temple and for the city wall and for the house to which I go.” So the king granted me these requests, for the good hand of my God was on me.

这以斯拉从巴比伦上来，他是一个文士，精通耶和华—以色列神所赐摩西的律法。王允准他一切所求的，因为耶和华—他神的手帮助他。

但神的眼目看顾犹太人的长老，以致没有人叫他们停工，直到奏文上告大流士，得着他对这事的回谕。

神使但以理在太监长眼前蒙恩，得怜悯。

感谢神，把我对你们的热忱同样放在提多心里。

然而，我蒙神的帮助，直到今日还站立得稳，向尊贵的和卑微的作见证。我所讲的，并不外乎众先知和摩西所说将来必成的事，

那人说：“你的名字不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列，因为你与神和人较力，都得胜了。”

王的心在耶和华手中像河水，他能使它随意流转。

救他脱离一切苦难，又使他在埃及王法老面前蒙恩，又有智慧。法老派他作埃及国的宰相兼管法老的全家。

正月初一，他从巴比伦起程，五月初一就到了耶路撒冷，因为他神施恩的手帮助他。

那时，以利亚实大祭司和他的弟兄众祭司起来建立羊门，将门分别为圣，安立门扇，直到哈米亚楼。他们又将它分别为圣，直到哈楠业楼。在他旁边建造的是耶利哥人。在他旁边建造的是音利的儿子撒刻。哈西拿的子孙建立鱼门，架横梁、安门扇，装闩和锁。在他们旁边修造的是哈哥斯的孙子，乌利亚的儿子米利末。在他们旁边修造的是米示萨别的孙子，比利迦的儿子米书兰。在他们旁边修造的是巴拿的儿子撒督。在他们旁边修造的是提哥亚人；但是他们的贵族不用肩扛他们主人的工作。巴西亚的儿子耶何耶大与比所玳的儿子米书兰修造古门，架横梁，安门扇，装闩和锁。在他们旁边修造的是基遍人米拉提、米伦人雅顿、基遍人，和河西总督所管的米斯巴人。在他旁边修造的是哈海雅的儿子乌薛银匠。在他旁边修造的是做香料的哈拿尼雅。他们修复耶路撒冷，直到宽墙。在他们旁边修造的是管理耶路撒冷城区的一半、户珥的儿子利法雅。在他们旁边的是哈路抹的儿子耶大雅在自己房屋的对面修造。在他旁边修造的是哈沙尼的儿子哈突。哈琳的儿子玛基雅和巴哈‧摩押的儿子哈述修造下一段和炉楼。在他旁边修造的是管理耶路撒冷城区的另一半、哈罗黑的儿子沙龙和他的女儿们。哈嫩和撒挪亚的居民修造谷门；他们立门，安门扇，装闩和锁，又修造城墙一千肘，直到粪厂门。管理伯‧哈基琳区、利甲的儿子玛基雅修造粪厂门；他立门，安门扇，装闩和锁。管理米斯巴区、各‧荷西的儿子沙仑修造泉门；他立门，盖门顶，安门扇，装闩和锁，又修造靠近王的花园西罗亚池的城墙，直到那从大卫城下来的台阶。接续他修造的是管理伯‧夙区的一半、押卜的儿子尼希米，直到大卫坟地的对面，又到人造池，到达勇士的房屋。接续他修造的是利未人巴尼的儿子利宏。在他旁边的是管理基伊拉区一半的哈沙比雅为本区修造。接续他修造的是他们弟兄中管理基伊拉区的另一半、希拿达的儿子宾内。在他旁边的是管理米斯巴、耶书亚的儿子以谢珥修造武库的上坡对面、城墙转弯处的那一段。接续他的是萨拜的儿子巴录竭力修造下一段，从转弯处，直到以利亚实大祭司的府门。接续他的是哈哥斯的孙子，乌利亚的儿子米利末修造下一段，从以利亚实的府门，直到以利亚实府的尽头。接续他修造的是住平原的祭司。接续他的是便雅悯与哈述在自己房屋的对面修造。接续他的是亚难尼的孙子，玛西雅的儿子亚撒利雅在自己房屋的旁边修造。接续他的是希拿达的儿子宾内修造下一段，从亚撒利雅的房屋直到转弯处，又到城角。乌赛的儿子巴拉修造转弯处的对面和靠近护卫院、王宫上层凸出来的城楼。接续他的是巴录的儿子毗大雅，（殿役住在俄斐勒，直到朝东水门的对面和凸出来的城楼。）接续他的是提哥亚人又修造一段，对着那凸出来的大城楼，直到俄斐勒的城墙。从马门往上，祭司各在自己房屋的对面修造。接续他的是音麦的儿子撒督在自己房屋的对面修造。接续他修造的是东门的守卫、示迦尼的儿子示玛雅。接续他的是示利米雅的儿子哈拿尼雅和萨拉的第六个儿子哈嫩修造下一段。接续他的是比利迦的儿子米书兰在自己房屋的对面修造。接续他的是玛基雅银匠修造，直到殿役和商人的房屋，对着集合门，直到角楼。银匠与商人在角楼和羊门之间修造。

他们欢欢喜喜地守除酵节七日，因为耶和华使他们欢喜。耶和华又使亚述王的心转向他们，坚固他们的手，去做神—以色列神殿的工。

以后，我对他们说：“我们所遭的难，耶路撒冷怎样荒凉，城门被火焚烧，你们都看见了。来吧，让我们重建耶路撒冷的城墙，免得再受凌辱！”我告诉他们我神施恩的手怎样帮助我，以及王向我所说的话。他们就说：“我们起来建造吧！”于是他们使自己的手坚强，做这美好的工作。

以斯拉说：“耶和华—我们列祖的神是应当称颂的！因他使王起这心愿，使耶路撒冷耶和华的殿得荣耀，他又在王和谋士，以及王所有大能的军官面前施恩于我。我因耶和华—我神的手的帮助，得以坚强，从以色列中召集领袖，与我一同上来。”
