求王再發一道詔書，通知管理王室園林的亞薩，吩咐他供給我木材，用來做聖殿堡壘的門梁及建造城牆和我住的房子。」王批准了我的請求，因為我的上帝施恩幫助我。

又赐诏书，通知管理王园林的亚萨，使他给我木料，做属殿营楼之门的横梁和城墙，与我自己房屋使用的。”王就允准我，因我神施恩的手帮助我。

又赐诏书，通知管理王园林的亚萨，叫他给我木材，作为殿的营楼之门、城墙，和我自己要住的房屋的横梁。”王就允准我，因为我上帝施恩的手帮助我。

並請降詔於虞人亞薩、賜我材木、以建附殿之樓門及城垣、與我所居之室、蒙我上帝之佑、王允所祈、

亦請王降詔於虞人亞薩、使彼賜我材木、可建城門、築垣墉、與我所居之室、蒙上帝祐、王允所祈。

亦求降詔於司王山林之臣亞薩、命之賜我材木、用以作圍殿城之門之柝梁、建城垣、與我所欲居之室、我蒙我天主之祐、王允我所求、

And may I have a letter to Asaph, keeper of the royal park, so he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel by the temple and for the city wall and for the residence I will occupy?” And because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests.

May I also have a letter to Asaph? He takes care of the royal park. I want him to give me some logs so I can make beams out of them. I want to use them for the gates of the fort that is by the temple. Some of the logs will also be used in the city wall. And I’ll need some for the house I’m going to live in.” God was kind to me and helped me. So the king gave me what I asked for.

and a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress of the temple, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall occupy.” And the king granted me what I asked, for the good hand of my God was upon me.

And please give me a letter addressed to Asaph, the manager of the king’s forest, instructing him to give me timber. I will need it to make beams for the gates of the Temple fortress, for the city walls, and for a house for myself.” And the king granted these requests, because the gracious hand of God was on me.

And let me have a letter written to Asaph, keeper of the king’s forest, so that he will give me timber to rebuild the gates of the temple’s fortress, the city wall, and the home where I will live.” The king granted my requests, for the gracious hand of my God was on me.

And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which[ appertained] to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.

and a letter for Asaph the keeper of the king’s nature preserve, so that he will give me timber for beams for the gates of the fortress adjacent to the temple and for the city wall and for the house to which I go.” So the king granted me these requests, for the good hand of my God was on me.

這以斯拉是位律法教師，精通以色列的上帝耶和華賜下的摩西律法。他的上帝耶和華幫助他，使王批准他的一切要求。

耶和華掌管君王的心，易如支配壟溝的流水。

救他脫離一切危難，又賜他過人的智慧，使他在埃及法老面前得到恩寵，官拜宰相治理全國，並管理王室。

於是，大祭司以利亞實及其他祭司一起重建羊門，將它獻給上帝，又安上門。他們重建城牆，一直建到哈米亞樓和哈楠業樓，並將它獻給上帝。下一段由耶利哥人修建。再下一段由音利的兒子撒刻修建。哈西拿的子孫修建魚門，架上橫樑，安上門，裝上門閂和門鎖。再下一段由哈哥斯的孫子、烏利亞的兒子米利末修築。再下一段由米示薩別的孫子、比利迦的兒子米書蘭修築。再下一段由巴拿的兒子撒督修築。再下一段由提哥亞人修築，但他們的貴族不肯做督工所分派的工作。巴西亞的兒子耶何耶大和比所玳的兒子米書蘭修築古門，架上橫樑，安上門，裝上門閂和門鎖。再下一段由基遍人米拉提、米倫人雅頓和其他基遍人，以及河西省省長管轄的米斯巴人修築。再下一段由哈海雅的兒子金匠烏薛修築。再下一段由製造香料的哈拿尼雅修築，他們修築耶路撒冷的城牆，直到寬牆。再下一段由管理半個耶路撒冷的戶珥的兒子利法雅修築。接下來，哈路抹的兒子耶大雅修築他房子對面的那一段。再下一段由哈沙尼的兒子哈突修築。哈琳的兒子瑪基雅和巴哈·摩押的兒子哈述修築另一段城牆，包括爐樓。再下一段由哈羅黑的兒子、管理另一半耶路撒冷的沙龍和他的女兒們修築。哈嫩與撒挪亞的居民修築谷門，安上門，裝上門閂和門鎖，之後又修建城牆四百四十五米，直到糞廠門。利甲的兒子、管理伯·哈基琳的瑪基雅修築糞廠門，修好後安上門，裝上門閂和門鎖。各荷西的兒子、管理米斯巴的沙崙修築泉門，修好後蓋上門頂，安上門，裝上門閂和門鎖。他還從靠近御花園的西羅亞池的城牆，一直修到大衛城下來的臺階處。再下一段由押蔔的兒子、管理半個伯·夙的尼希米修築，他一直修到大衛墓地對面，遠至人工池和勇士堂。再下一段由巴尼的兒子利宏帶領的利未人修築。接下來，管理半個基伊拉的哈沙比雅修築了自己的轄區。再下一段由他的同族兄弟、管理另一半基伊拉的希拿達的兒子巴瓦伊修築。再下一段由耶書亞的兒子、管理米斯巴的以謝修築，他從斜坡對面修到城牆轉角的兵器庫。再下一段由薩拜的兒子巴錄修築，他從城牆轉角修到以利亞實大祭司的家門口。再下一段由哈哥斯的孫子、烏利亞的兒子米利末修築，他從以利亞實家門口修到以利亞實家的盡頭。再下一段由住在周圍郊區的祭司修築。接下來，便雅憫與哈述修築自家對面的那一段。再接下來，亞南尼的孫子、瑪西雅的兒子亞撒利雅修築自家旁邊的那一段。再下一段由希拿達的兒子賓內修築，他從亞撒利雅的房子修到城牆的轉角。再接下來，烏賽的兒子巴拉修築了城牆轉角的對面和護衛院附近上宮凸出的城樓。再下一段由巴錄的兒子毗大雅與住在俄斐勒的殿役修築，他們修到東面的水門對面和凸出的城樓那裡。

他們歡歡喜喜地守除酵節七天，因為耶和華使亞述王對他們心存善意，幫助他們重建以色列上帝的殿。

後來我對他們說：「你們都看到了我們的困境。耶路撒冷已成廢墟，城門也被燒毀。來吧，讓我們重建耶路撒冷的城牆，免得我們再受凌辱。」然後，我把我的上帝怎樣施恩幫助我以及王對我說的話都告訴了他們。他們就說：「我們起來重建城牆吧！」於是他們開始做這善工。

以斯拉說：「我們祖先的上帝耶和華當受讚美！因為祂使王有這樣的心意尊崇耶路撒冷耶和華的殿。祂又在王及其謀士和所有權貴面前施恩於我。因為我的上帝耶和華幫助我，我便有勇氣召集以色列的首領與我一同上去。」
