At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes. From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.

At that time some men were put in charge of the storerooms. That’s where all the gifts the people brought were placed. Those gifts included the first shares of their crops. They also included a tenth of everything the Law required. Crops were harvested from the fields around the towns. The people had to bring the shares of those crops that were required by the Law. They gave them to the priests and Levites. That’s because the people of Judah were pleased with the priests and Levites who were serving God.

On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the Law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the towns, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.

并将初熟之麦子所磨的面和举祭、各样树上初熟的果子、新酒与油奉给祭司，收在我们神殿的库房里，把我们地上所产的十分之一奉给利未人，因利未人在我们一切城邑的土产中当取十分之一。利未人取十分之一的时候，亚伦的子孙中，当有一个祭司与利未人同在。利未人也当从十分之一中取十分之一，奉到我们神殿的屋子里，收在库房中。以色列人和利未人要将五谷、新酒，和油为举祭，奉到收存圣所器皿的屋子里，就是供职的祭司、守门的、歌唱的所住的屋子。这样，我们就不离弃我们神的殿。

听从我、日日在我门口仰望、在我门框旁边等候的，那人便为有福。

革顺族、拉但子孙里，作族长的是革顺族拉但的子孙耶希伊利。耶希伊利的儿子西坦和他兄弟约珥掌管耶和华殿里的府库。暗兰族、以斯哈族、希伯伦族、乌泄族也有职分。摩西的孙子、革舜的儿子细布业掌管府库。还有他的弟兄以利以谢。以利以谢的儿子是利哈比雅；利哈比雅的儿子是耶筛亚；耶筛亚的儿子是约兰；约兰的儿子是细基利；细基利的儿子是示罗密。这示罗密和他的弟兄掌管府库的圣物，就是大卫王和众族长、千夫长、百夫长，并军长所分别为圣的物。

“利未人是这样：从二十五岁以外，他们要前来任职，办会幕的事。到了五十岁要停工退任，不再办事，

这四个门领都是利未人，各有紧要的职任，看守神殿的仓库。

你要嘱咐亚伦和他的儿子谨守自己祭司的职任。近前来的外人必被治死。”

或作执事，就当专一执事；或作教导的，就当专一教导；

但那等候耶和华的必从新得力。他们必如鹰展翅上腾；他们奔跑却不困倦，行走却不疲乏。

每日早晚向耶和华献燔祭，烧美香，又在精金的桌子上摆陈设饼；又有金灯台和灯盏，每晚点起，因为我们遵守耶和华我们神的命；惟有你们离弃了他。率领我们的是神，我们这里也有神的祭司拿号向你们吹出大声。以色列人哪，不要与耶和华你们列祖的神争战，因你们必不能亨通。”

他们的职任是服侍亚伦的子孙，在耶和华的殿和院子，并屋中办事，洁净一切圣物，就是办神殿的事务，
