官长也要对百姓宣告说：‘谁建造房屋，尚未奉献，他可以回家去，恐怕他阵亡，别人去奉献。

以色列的祭司和利未人，并其余被掳归回的人都欢欢喜喜地行奉献神殿的礼。

祭司侍立，各供其职；利未人也拿着耶和华的乐器，就是大卫王造出来、藉利未人颂赞耶和华的。（他的慈爱永远长存！）祭司在众人面前吹号，以色列人都站立。

大卫和以色列众人在神前用琴、瑟、锣、鼓、号作乐，极力跳舞歌唱。

耶和华啊，我要尊崇你，因为你曾提拔我，不叫仇敌向我夸耀。

大卫又聚集亚伦的子孙和利未人。

他既拿了书卷，四活物和二十四位长老就俯伏在羔羊面前，各拿着琴和盛满了香的金炉；这香就是众圣徒的祈祷。

愿他们跳舞赞美他的名，击鼓弹琴歌颂他！

匠人立耶和华殿根基的时候，祭司皆穿礼服吹号，亚萨的子孙利未人敲钹，照以色列王大卫所定的例，都站着赞美耶和华。他们彼此唱和，赞美称谢耶和华说：“他本为善，他向以色列人永发慈爱。”他们赞美耶和华的时候，众民大声呼喊，因耶和华殿的根基已经立定。

他召众祭司和利未人来，聚集在东边的宽阔处，对他们说：“利未人哪，当听我说：现在你们要洁净自己，又洁净耶和华你们列祖神的殿，从圣所中除去污秽之物。我们列祖犯了罪，行耶和华我们神眼中看为恶的事，离弃他，转脸背向他的居所，封锁廊门，吹灭灯火，不在圣所中向以色列神烧香，或献燔祭。因此，耶和华的忿怒临到犹大和耶路撒冷，将其中的人抛来抛去，令人惊骇、嗤笑，正如你们亲眼所见的。所以我们的祖宗倒在刀下，我们的妻子儿女也被掳掠。现在我心中有意与耶和华以色列的神立约，好使他的烈怒转离我们。我的众子啊，现在不要懈怠；因为耶和华拣选你们站在他面前侍奉他，与他烧香。”

其余的以色列人、祭司、利未人都住在犹大的一切城邑，各在自己的地业中。

你们要靠主常常喜乐。我再说，你们要喜乐。

希伯伦族中有耶利雅作族长。大卫作王第四十年，在基列的雅谢，从这族中寻得大能的勇士。

希幔、耶杜顿同着他们吹号、敲钹，大发响声，并用别的乐器随着歌颂神。耶杜顿的子孙作守门的。

称谢耶和华！歌颂你至高者的名！用十弦的乐器和瑟，用琴弹幽雅的声音，早晨传扬你的慈爱；每夜传扬你的信实。这本为美事。

普天下当向耶和华欢呼！你们当乐意侍奉耶和华，当来向他歌唱！

有人告诉大卫王说：“耶和华因为约柜赐福给俄别以东的家和一切属他的。”大卫就去，欢欢喜喜地将神的约柜从俄别以东家中抬到大卫的城里。

为首的是亚萨，其次是撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、玛他提雅、以利押、比拿雅、俄别以东、耶利，鼓瑟弹琴；惟有亚萨敲钹，大发响声；

有四千人作守门的，又有四千人用大卫所做的乐器颂赞耶和华。

从掳到之地归回的全会众就搭棚，住在棚里。从嫩的儿子约书亚的时候直到这日，以色列人没有这样行。于是众人大大喜乐。

全地都要向耶和华欢乐；要发起大声，欢呼歌颂！要用琴歌颂耶和华，用琴和诗歌的声音歌颂他！用号和角声，在大君王耶和华面前欢呼！

要因他大能的作为赞美他，按着他极美的大德赞美他！要用角声赞美他，鼓瑟弹琴赞美他！击鼓跳舞赞美他！用丝弦的乐器和箫的声音赞美他！用大响的钹赞美他！用高声的钹赞美他！

对他们说：“你们是利未人的族长，你们和你们的弟兄应当自洁，好将耶和华以色列神的约柜抬到我所预备的地方。

你和你儿女、仆婢，并住在你城里的利未人，以及在你们中间寄居的与孤儿寡妇，都要在耶和华你神所选择立为他名的居所，在耶和华你的神面前欢乐。

你们当向神我们的力量大声欢呼，向雅各的神发声欢乐！唱起诗歌，打手鼓，弹美琴与瑟。当在月朔并月望、我们过节的日期吹角，因这是为以色列定的律例，是雅各神的典章。

大卫和众首领分派亚萨、希幔，并耶杜顿的子孙弹琴、鼓瑟、敲钹、唱歌。他们供职的人数记在下面：亚萨的儿子撒刻、约瑟、尼探雅、亚萨利拉都归亚萨指教，遵王的旨意唱歌。耶杜顿的儿子基大利、西利、耶筛亚、哈沙比雅、玛他提雅、示每共六人，都归他们父亲耶杜顿指教，弹琴，唱歌，称谢，颂赞耶和华。希幔的儿子布基雅、玛探雅、乌薛、细布业、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亚他、基大利提、罗幔提以谢、约施比加沙、玛罗提、何提、玛哈秀；这都是希幔的儿子，吹角颂赞。希幔奉神之命作王的先见。神赐给希幔十四个儿子，三个女儿，都归他们父亲指教，在耶和华的殿唱歌、敲钹、弹琴、鼓瑟，办神殿的事务。亚萨、耶杜顿、希幔都是王所命定的。
