are joining with their kinsmen, their nobles, and are taking on themselves a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law, which was given through Moses, God’s servant, and to keep and to comply with all the commandments of God our Lord, and His ordinances and statutes;

從同宗世職、發誓立盟、必遵從上帝僕摩西所傳之律例、守我上帝耶和華誡命、禮儀法度、

其餘之民、祭司、利未人、守門者、謳歌者、殿役、及凡與異邦人絕交從天主律法者、並其妻其子女、凡有知識能明者、

all these now join their fellow Israelites the nobles, and bind themselves with a curse and an oath to follow the Law of God given through Moses the servant of God and to obey carefully all the commands, regulations and decrees of the Lord our Lord.

All the men joined the nobles of their people. They made a firm agreement. They made a promise and said they would be cursed if they didn’t keep it. They promised to follow the Law of God. It had been given through Moses, the servant of God. They promised to obey carefully all the commands, rules and laws of the Lord our Lord.

Then the king stood in his place and made a covenant before the Lord to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments, His testimonies, and His statutes with all his heart and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that are written in this book.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people,instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age,looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.

And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments, His provisions, and His statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to carry out the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people entered into the covenant.

Then they said,“ We will give it back and will require nothing from them; we will do exactly as you say.” So I called the priests and made them take an oath to act in accordance with this promise.I also shook out the front of my garment and said,“ So may God shake out every person from his house and from his possessions who does not keep this promise; just so may he be shaken out and emptied.” And all the assembly said,“ Amen!” And they praised the Lord. Then the people acted in accordance with this promise.

And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances.

You are My friends if you do what I command you.

When it was day, the Jews formed a conspiracy and put themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.There were more than forty who formed this plot.They came to the chief priests and the elders and said,“ We have put ourselves under an oath to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.Now therefore, you and the Council notify the commander to bring him down to you, as though you were going to investigate his case more thoroughly; and as for us, we are ready to kill him before he comes near the place.”

But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth, You who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens!

When the Lord has compassion on Jacob and again chooses Israel, and settles them on their own land, then strangers will join them and attach themselves to the house of Jacob.

“ Did Moses not give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why are you seeking to kill Me?”

Then when he arrived and witnessed the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with resolute heart to remain true to the Lord;

and whoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel was to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.Moreover, they made an oath to the Lord with a loud voice, with shouting, trumpets, and with horns.

So you shall be careful to do just as the Lord your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right or to the left.

“ Remember the Law of Moses My servant, the statutes and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel.

So do not listen to them, for more than forty of them are in hiding to ambush him, and these men have put themselves under an oath not to eat or drink until they kill him; and now they are ready and waiting for assurance from you.”

And that they might keep His statutes And comply with His laws; Praise the Lord!

Love must be free of hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good.

Now Moses summoned all Israel and said to them:“ Listen, Israel, to the statutes and ordinances which I am speaking today for you to hear, so that you may learn them and be careful to do them.

And you shall say to them,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ If you do not listen to Me, to walk in My Law which I have set before you,

‘ Cursed is the person who makes a carved image or cast metal image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of a craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ And all the people shall reply and say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is one who treats his father or mother contemptuously.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is one who displaces his neighbor’s boundary marker.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is one who misleads a person who is blind on the road.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is one who distorts the justice due a stranger, an orphan, or a widow.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who sleeps with his father’s wife, because he has uncovered his father’s garment.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is one who has sexual intercourse with any animal.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or of his mother.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who sleeps with his mother in law.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who attacks his neighbor in secret.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who accepts a bribe to attack an innocent person.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is anyone who does not fulfill the words of this Law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’

Now then, Lord, God of Israel, keep to Your servant David, my father, that which You promised him, saying,‘ You shall not lack a man to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons pay attention to their way, to walk in My Law as you have walked before Me.’

so that you may enter into the covenant with the Lord your God, and into His oath which the Lord your God is making with you today,in order that He may establish you today as His people, and that He may be your God, just as He spoke to you and as He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.“ Now it is not with you alone that I am making this covenant and this oath,

So I quarreled with them and cursed them, and struck some of them and pulled out their hair, and made them swear by God,“ You shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take any of their daughters for your sons or for yourselves.

But Jehu was not careful to walk in the Law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart; he did not desist from the sins of Jeroboam, into which he misled Israel.

Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth!

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

Moses issued to us the Law, A possession for the assembly of Jacob.
