僕人在你面前晝夜為你的眾僕人以色列民祈禱，求你睜眼察看，側耳傾聽。我承認以色列人向你所犯的罪，以及我和我的家族所犯的罪。

亞達薛西王二十年尼散月，酒呈到王面前後，我端起酒遞給王。在王面前，我一向沒有愁容。

恢復了侍酒總管的職位，讓他仍舊伺候自己飲酒，

波斯王塞魯士元年，耶和華為要應驗祂藉耶利米所說的話，就感動波斯王塞魯士，使他下詔通告全國：

耶和華啊，求你聽我的禱告，垂聽我的懇求。

耶和華掌管君王的心，易如支配壟溝的流水。

這以斯拉是位律法教師，精通以色列的上帝耶和華賜下的摩西律法。他的上帝耶和華幫助他，使王批准他的一切要求。

然而，法老的侍酒總管把約瑟忘了。

後來，侍酒總管對法老說：「我今天才想起我的罪過。

因為你們厭惡知識，不願意敬畏耶和華，

耶和華啊，我們等候你，遵從你的法令，我們心裡渴慕尊崇你的名。在夜間，我思慕你，我切切地尋求你。你在世上施行審判的時候，世人就知道何為公義。

那人說：「你以後不要再叫雅各了，你要叫以色列，因為你跟上帝和人角力都得勝了。」

侍酒總管便把自己的夢告訴約瑟，說：「我夢見一棵葡萄樹，樹上有三根枝子，枝子發芽開花，結滿了成熟的葡萄。我手上拿著法老的酒杯，摘下葡萄，把汁擠在酒杯中，然後遞給法老。」約瑟說：「這夢的意思是，三根枝子代表三天，三天之內，法老必定釋放你，恢復你侍酒總管的職位。你仍要和從前一樣伺候法老飲酒。

主啊，求你垂聽我的呼求，側耳聽我的祈求。

王非常憤怒，

願全能的上帝叫那人憐憫你們，讓西緬和便雅憫回來。我若喪子就喪子吧！」

求你救我脫離我哥哥以掃的手，我怕他會來殺我和我的妻兒。
