注重某一天的人，是为主而注重的；吃的人，是为主而吃的，因为他感谢神；不吃的人，也是为主不吃的，他也感谢神。

主人回来的时候，看见哪些奴仆警醒着，那些奴仆就蒙福了。我确实地告诉你们：主人会束上腰带，请他们坐席，并来伺候他们。

你们一进城就会遇见他——那时正是他登上高所用餐之前；民众不会在他来到之前吃，一定要等他为祭物祝谢了才吃；之后客人才开始吃。现在上去吧，因为你们立刻就会遇见他。”

当时，男人就约有五千。耶稣对他的门徒们说：“叫他们分组坐下，每组约五十人。”门徒们就如此行，叫大家都坐下。

耶稣说：“拿到我这里来。”于是耶稣吩咐众人坐在草地上，就拿起这五个饼和两条鱼，抬头望天，祝福了，然后掰开饼，递给门徒们，他们又分给众人。

耶稣说：“让他们坐下来。”那地方草多，他们坐了下来；男人的数目约有五千。耶稣就拿起饼来，祝谢以后，分给那些坐着的人，把鱼也如此分了，他们要多少就给多少。

他的母亲对仆人们说：“他吩咐你们什么，你们就做什么。”

耶稣就吩咐众人坐在地上，于是拿起这七个饼和几条小鱼，祝谢以后，掰开，不断递给门徒们，他们又分给众人。

在他们吃的时候，耶稣拿起饼来，祝福了，就掰开，递给门徒们，说：“你们领受吃吧，这是我的身体。”

耶稣吩咐他们，叫众人一组一组地坐在青草地上。众人就一群一群地坐了下来，有的一百人，有的五十人。耶稣拿起这五个饼和两条鱼，抬头望天，祝福了，然后把饼掰开，不断递给他的门徒们，让他们分给众人。他把两条鱼也分给大家。大家都吃了，并且吃饱了。他们把饼和鱼的碎块收拾起来，装满了十二个篮子。吃饼的人，男人就有五千。

如果我怀着感恩的心领受，难道有什么能使我为所感谢的东西而受到毁谤吗？因此，你们无论或吃、或喝、或做什么，一切都要为神的荣耀而做。

有几条别的小船从太巴列城来，靠近主祝谢后众人吃饼的地方。

你们无论做什么，或在言语上或在行为上，都要奉主耶稣的名，藉着他感谢父神。

当耶稣与他们一同坐席的时候，他拿起饼来，祝福了，然后掰开递给他们。

他们禁止结婚，要求远避某些食物，就是神所创造的，好让信徒和了解真理的人以感谢的心享用。原来神所造的一切都是美好的；如果以感谢的心领受，就什么也不用丢弃，因为藉着神的话语、藉着代求，这些都被分别为圣了。
