更謂眾及門徒曰：『人欲從予、必先舍己、負其十字架而隨我後。

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said:“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Jesus called the crowd to him along with his disciples. He said,“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must say no to themselves. They must pick up their cross and follow me.

And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them,“ If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said,“ If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.

Calling the crowd along with his disciples, he said to them,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them,“ Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

And he called unto him the multitude with his disciples, and said unto them, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Summoning the crowd along with His disciples, He said to them,“ If anyone wants to be My follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

And when he had called the people[ unto him] with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Then Jesus called the crowd, along with his disciples, and said to them,“ If anyone wants to become my follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

He called the multitude to himself with his disciples, and said to them,“ Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

不負其十架而從我者、亦不宜乎我也、

我羊聽我聲、我識之、而羊從我、

人就我、而不憎其父母、妻子、兄弟、姊妹、與己生命者、不得為我徒、不負己之十架而從我者、亦不得為我徒、

奪國於大衛家、以賜爾、而爾不效我僕大衛、守我誡命、一心從我、行我所悅、

惟我僕迦勒、性質殊異於眾、專從乎我、所往之地、必導之入、其裔據以為業、

且屬基督耶穌者、已以形軀及其情慾、釘於十架矣、○

我已與基督同釘十架、而我尚生、非我也、基督生於我中也、今我生於形軀者、乃因信上帝子而生、即愛我而為我捐己者也、

主為我舍生、我於此而知愛、亦宜為兄弟舍生也、

俾知基督與其復起之能、並與其苦而效其死、

當入窄門、蓋引而之亡者、其門也闊、其路也寬、入之者眾、引而之生者、其門也窄、其路也狹、得之者寡、○

我思上帝、置我儕使徒於末、如擬死者然、作劇於世、為天使與人所觀、我儕緣基督而愚、爾在基督而智、我弱爾強、爾榮我辱、迄今我儕飢渴、裹體受撻、靡有定處、且服勞躬親操作、見詬則祝、遇窘則忍、受謗則勸、成為世之污穢、物之塵垢、以迄於今、○

遂語其徒曰、欲從我者、當克己負其十架以從、

今我緣爾受苦則喜、且為基督之身即教會、以我身補基督患難之不足耳、

曰當竭力以進窄門、我語汝、將有求進而不得者多也、

基督既以身受苦、爾亦宜以此志自衛、蓋受苦於身者、則與罪絕矣、

儻爾一手陷爾、則斫之、寧殘而入於生、勝有二手入地獄不滅之火、儻爾一足陷爾、則斫之、寧跛而入於生、勝有二足投於地獄不滅之火、儻爾一目陷爾、則去之、寧一目而進上帝國、勝有二目投於地獄、在彼蟲不死、火不滅、

既為子、則為嗣、即上帝嗣、與基督同為嗣、若與之同苦、亦必與之同榮、○

耶穌顧而愛之曰、爾猶缺一、往鬻所有以濟貧、則將有財於天、且來從我、

故當滅爾在地之肢體、即淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾、及貪婪、貪婪與拜像一也、

耶穌聞此、語之曰、爾猶缺一、悉鬻所有以濟貧、則將有財於天、且來從我、

但昔於我為益者、我緣基督以之為損、

西門彼得曰、主、何往、耶穌曰、我所往、爾今不能從、後將從之、彼得曰、主、今何不能從爾乎、我欲為爾捐生、

爾既與基督之苦、當以為樂、俾於其榮顯著時、亦可歡欣踴躍、

耶穌此言、乃指彼得將如何死、以榮上帝也、言畢、則曰、從我、彼得轉身見耶穌所愛之徒從之、即飱時倚耶穌胸、問賣主為誰者也、

蓋知去我幕之日速矣、一如我主耶穌基督所示我者、

設也右目陷爾於罪、則抉而棄之、寧喪百體之一、勿全身委地獄、設也右手陷爾於罪、則斷而棄之、寧喪百體之一、勿全身入地獄、

眾出、遇一古利奈人、西門、強之偕往、負耶穌之十架、

我儕之健者、宜肩不健者之弱、非悅己也、各宜悅鄰、以致其益、而建立之、蓋基督亦非悅己、如經云、詈爾之詈及於我、

又謂眾曰、欲從我者、當克己日負其十架以從、

乃知舊日之我、與之同釘、俾罪之體泯、不復為罪所役、

兄弟乎、我於我主基督耶穌、因爾而誇者為誓、我日日死矣、

然我無所誇、惟誇我主耶穌基督之十架耳、由是世於我已釘十架、我於世亦然、

堅門徒心、勸之恆居於道、言我儕入上帝國必歷多艱、

如是、凡爾中不盡舍所有者、不得為我徒也、

眾曳之、耶穌自負十架而出、至一地、名髑髏處、希伯來音、曰各各他、

眾民聽時、耶穌語其徒曰、

勿懼爾將受之苦、魔將投爾中數人於獄以試之、爾將受難十日、宜忠信至死、我則賜爾以維生之冕、

蓋我於眾雖為自由、而自役於眾、致獲人愈多、

教我儕棄絕不虔、與世俗之慾、而以貞正、公義、敬虔、度生於今世、

我聞爾中有妄行者、無所操作、專務外事、

故食物若礙我兄弟、我永不食肉、免其礙之也、

故我儕宜負其辱、出營外就之、

遂復招眾、謂之曰、皆宜聽我而悟焉、
