But he turning about, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and saith, Get thee behind me, Satan; for thou mindest not the things of God, but the things of men.

But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter.“ Get behind me, Satan!” he said.“ You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

Jesus turned and looked at his disciples. He scolded Peter.“ Get behind me, Satan!” he said.“ You are not thinking about the things God cares about. Instead, you are thinking only about the things humans care about.”

But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said,“ Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”

Jesus turned around and looked at his disciples, then reprimanded Peter.“ Get away from me, Satan!” he said.“ You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”

But turning around and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said,“ Get behind me, Satan! You are not thinking about God’s concerns but human concerns.”

But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter and* said,“ Get behind Me, Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God’s purposes, but on man’s.”

But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying,“ Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

This wisdom is not a wisdom that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate thee: Reprove a wise man, and he will love thee.Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil.And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat; and she gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.

And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how that he said unto him, Before the cock crow this day thou shalt deny me thrice.

For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be:and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

And looking round on them that sat round about him, he saith, Behold, my mother and my brethren!

But he turned, and rebuked them.

But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their heart, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.

And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

Them that sin reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

Let the righteous smite me, it shall be a kindness; And let him reprove me, it shall be as oil upon the head; Let not my head refuse it: For even in their wickedness shall my prayer continue.

This testimony is true. For which cause reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
