He also said to them,“ You have a fine way of invalidating God’s command in order to set up your tradition!

耶稣又说：“你们诚然是废弃神的诫命，为要守自己的传统。

耶稣又对他们说：“你们为了拘守自己的传统，竟巧妙地废除了上帝的诫命。

耶稣又对他们说：“你们为了坚守自己的传统，而巧妙地把神的诫命拒绝了。

耶稣又对他们说：“你们为了要守住你们的传统，竟然弃绝了神的命令！

又說：「你們誠然是廢棄神的誡命，要守自己的遺傳。

耶穌又說：「你們誠然是廢棄上帝的誡命，為要守自己的傳統。

耶穌又說：「你們誠然是廢棄神的誡命，為要守自己的傳統。

耶穌又對他們說：「你們為了拘守自己的傳統，竟巧妙地廢除了上帝的誡命。

耶穌又對他們說：“你們為了堅守自己的傳統，而巧妙地把神的誡命拒絕了。

他又對他們說：『你們很聰明地廢棄了上帝的誡命，為要遵守自己的傳統規矩！

耶穌又對他們說：「你們為了要守住你們的傳統，竟然棄絕了神的命令！

又曰、誠哉、爾廢上帝誡、守爾遺傳也、

又曰、爾誠廢上帝誡執爾遺傳者、

又謂之曰、爾誠廢天主之誡、為欲守爾之遺傳、

又曰：『爾曹之所以廢棄天主誡命、而維護爾之習俗者、亦已巧矣！

And he continued,“ You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!

Jesus continued speaking,“ You have a fine way of setting aside God’s commands! You do this so you can follow your own teachings.

And he said to them,“ You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!

Then he said,“ You skillfully sidestep God’s law in order to hold on to your own tradition.

He was also saying to them,“ You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition.

He said to them,“ All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.

And he said unto them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition.

He also said to them,“ You completely invalidate God’s command in order to maintain your tradition!

And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

He also said to them,“ You neatly reject the commandment of God in order to set up your tradition.

He said to them,“ Full well do you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.

( For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, keeping the tradition of the elders.

It is time for the LORD to act, for they have violated your instruction.

“ As for the word you spoke to us in the name of the LORD, we are not going to listen to you!Instead, we will do everything we promised: we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and offer drink offerings to her just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets. Then we had enough food, we were well off, and we saw no disaster,

He answered them,“ Why do you break God’s commandment because of your tradition?For God said: Honor your father and your mother; and, Whoever speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.But you say,‘ Whoever tells his father or mother,“ Whatever benefit you might have received from me is a gift committed to the temple,”he does not have to honor his father.’ In this way, you have nullified the word of God because of your tradition.

The earth is polluted by its inhabitants, for they have transgressed teachings, overstepped decrees, and broken the permanent covenant.

You nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many other similar things.”

King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet King Tiglath-pileser of Assyria. When he saw the altar that was in Damascus, King Ahaz sent a model of the altar and complete plans for its construction to the priest Uriah.Uriah built the altar according to all the instructions King Ahaz sent from Damascus. Therefore, by the time King Ahaz came back from Damascus, the priest Uriah had completed it.When the king came back from Damascus, he saw the altar. Then he approached the altar and ascended it.He offered his burnt offering and his grain offering, poured out his drink offering, and splattered the blood of his fellowship offerings on the altar.He took the bronze altar that was before the LORD in front of the temple between his altar and the LORD’s temple, and put it on the north side of his altar.Then King Ahaz commanded the priest Uriah,“ Offer on the great altar the morning burnt offering, the evening grain offering, and the king’s burnt offering and his grain offering. Also offer the burnt offering of all the people of the land, their grain offering, and their drink offerings. Splatter on the altar all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of sacrifice. The bronze altar will be for me to seek guidance.”The priest Uriah did everything King Ahaz commanded.

The Lord said: These people approach me with their speeches to honor me with lip-service, yet their hearts are far from me, and human rules direct their worship of me.

He will speak words against the Most High and oppress the holy ones of the Most High. He will intend to change religious festivals and laws, and the holy ones will be handed over to him for a time, times, and half a time.

Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

“ Then the king will do whatever he wants. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and he will say outrageous things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, because what has been decreed will be accomplished.

He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in God’s temple, proclaiming that he himself is God.
