耶稣拉着瞎子的手，领他到村外，就吐唾沫在他眼睛上，按手在他身上，问他说：“你看见什么了？”

耶稣说了这话，就吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和泥抹在瞎子的眼睛上，对他说：“你往西罗亚池子里去洗。”（“西罗亚”翻出来，就是“奉差遣”。）他去一洗，回头就看见了。

他们就嗤笑耶稣。耶稣把他们都撵出去，就带着孩子的父母和跟随的人进了孩子所在的地方，

以利亚对她说：“把你儿子交给我。”以利亚就从妇人怀中将孩子接过来，抱到他所住的楼中，放在自己的床上，就求告耶和华说：“耶和华我的神啊，我寄居在这寡妇的家里，你就降祸与她，使她的儿子死了吗？”以利亚三次伏在孩子的身上，求告耶和华说：“耶和华我的神啊，求你使这孩子的灵魂仍入他的身体！”耶和华应允以利亚的话，孩子的灵魂仍入他的身体，他就活了。

他就关上门，只有自己和孩子在里面，他便祈祷耶和华，上床伏在孩子身上，口对口，眼对眼，手对手；既伏在孩子身上，孩子的身体就渐渐温和了。

回到家里，关上门，你和你儿子在里面将油倒在所有的器皿里，倒满了的放在一边。”于是，妇人离开以利沙去了，关上门，自己和儿子在里面；儿子把器皿拿来，她就倒油。器皿都满了，她对儿子说：“再给我拿器皿来。”儿子说：“再没有器皿了。”油就止住了。
