食物是為肚子，肚子也是為食物；但無論這個和那個，上帝都要廢掉。身體不是為淫亂，乃是為主的；主也是為身體的。

聲音第二次從天上回答說：「上帝所潔淨的、你別當作俗污了。」

聲音又第二次對他說：『上帝所潔淨的、你別當作俗污了。』

豈不了解，凡入口裏的，運到肚子裏，又被排泄出來到廁所裏去麼？

所以別在喫喝上、或年節月初一安息日的方面上、讓人論斷你們了。

「不可摸！不可嘗！不可觸！」的規例，（而規例中所指的又都是以沿用而至於敗壞的東西）隨着人的誡律和教條呢？

其實你們只要把裏邊的施捨給人，那麼一切對你們就都潔淨了。

信心上軟弱的人、你們要接納，可不要辯論疑惑的事。有人有信心可以喫百物，但也有信心軟弱的人只喫蔬菜。喫的別藐視不喫的了；不喫的也別論斷喫的了；上帝已經接納他。你這論斷別人家僕的，你是誰啊？他或站穩、或跌倒，只和他自己的主人有關；況且他也是會得扶助以站穩的，因為主能使他站穩。有人斷這日比那日強；有人斷日日都一樣；各人自己的心思要把堅確的信念抱定。記念日子的人懷念着主而記念；喫的人懷念着主而喫，因為他感謝上帝；不喫的人也懷念着主而不喫，他也感謝上帝。我們沒有一個人單為自己而活，也沒有一個人單為自己而死。我們若活着，是為主而活；若死了，是為主而死；所以我們或活或死，總是屬主的人。為了這目的、基督死了，又活過來了，為的是、不但可以做活人的主，也可以做死人的主。但是你為甚麼論斷你的弟兄呢？你又為甚麼藐視你的弟兄呢？我們眾人都必站在上帝的審判臺前呢。經上記着說：『主說：我指着永活的我來起誓，眾膝都要向我屈跪，眾舌都要承認上帝為至尊。』這樣看來，我們各人都必將自己的事向上帝供明啊。
