住在地上的人会因他们而欢喜快乐，互相馈送礼物，因为这两位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。过了这三天半，有生命的气息从神那里进入他们里面，他们就站起来；看见他们的人都大大惧怕。两位先知听见有大声音从天上对他们说：“上这里来。”他们就驾着云上了天，他们的仇敌也看见了。正在那时候，地大震动，城倒塌了十分之一；因地震而死的有七千人，其余的都恐惧，归荣耀给天上的神。

希律说：“约翰我已经斩了，但这是什么人？关于他，我竟听到这样的事！”于是希律想要见他。

说：“我出卖了无辜人的血有罪了。”他们说：“那跟我们有什么相干？你自己承当吧！”

树上有三根枝子。枝子发了芽，开了花，结出串串成熟的葡萄。法老的杯在我手中，我就拿葡萄挤在法老的杯里，把杯递到他手中。”

就对臣仆说：“这是施洗的约翰从死人中复活，因此才有这些异能在他里面运行。”

他们在无可惧怕之处就大大害怕，因为神使那安营攻击你之人的骨头散开了。你使他们蒙羞，因为神弃绝了他们。
