When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing,He said to them,“ Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him.

Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

and saying:‘ We played the flute for you, And you did not dance; We mourned to you, And you did not lament.’

Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said,“ Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.”And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.
