那些汙靈就央求耶穌，說：「求你打發我們到豬群裡，好讓我們進入豬裡面去吧！」

眾鬼求曰、使我入附於豕、

眾鬼求曰、容我入豕群、

眾魔求曰、容我入豕群而附之、

魔因乞曰：『縱我入豕群可乎。』

The demons begged Jesus,“ Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.”

so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

However, reach out with Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh; he will curse You to Your face!”

Have You not made a fence around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.But reach out with Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will certainly curse You to Your face.”Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not reach out and put your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord.

“ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to sift you men like wheat;but I have prayed for you, that your faith will not fail; and you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
