好讓你們行事為人配得上主，凡事蒙他喜悅，在一切美善的工作中結出果子，在神的真正知識上不斷長進。

你們當住在我裡面，我就住在你們裡面。枝條如果不留在葡萄樹上，就不能由自己結出果子；照樣，你們如果不住在我裡面，你們也是如此。「我就是葡萄樹，你們是枝條。那住在我裡面、我也在他裡面的，他才結出很多果子，因為沒有我，你們什麼也不能做。

那被撒上種子的『好土壤』是這樣的人：他聽了這話語，就領悟了，必然結出果實來，結出的有一百倍的、有六十倍的、有三十倍的。」

那『好土壤』，是這樣的人：他們聽了這話語，以誠實美善的心持守它，並且在忍耐中結出果實。

可是另有落進好土壤裡的，就發芽、生長，不斷地結出果實，結出的有三十倍的、有六十倍的、有一百倍的。」

不是你們揀選了我，而是我揀選了你們，並指派了你們，好使你們去，讓你們結出果子，而且使你們的果子長存。這樣，你們奉我的名無論向父求什麼，他就會賜給你們。

此外，弟兄們，我們在主耶穌裡請求你們、勸勉你們：既然從我們學到了該怎樣行事為人，怎樣討神的喜悅——就像你們也在行的——你們就要更加努力，

因為你們如果有了這些，並且不斷增多這些，它們就會使你們在真正認識我們主耶穌基督的事上，不會成為懶惰的或不結果子的人；

並且充滿了那藉著耶穌基督而來的義行果子，歸於神的榮耀和稱讚。

因此，我的弟兄們，你們藉著基督的身體，在律法上也被處死了，使你們歸向另一位，就是從死人中復活的那一位，好讓我們能為神結出果子來。

然而，聖靈的果子是：愛心、喜樂、和平、忍耐、仁慈、良善、忠信、溫柔、自制。這樣的事，沒有律法反對。
