亚伦和他儿子要在会幕门口吃这羊的肉和筐内的饼。他们吃那些赎罪之物，好承接圣职，使他们成圣；只是外人不可吃，因为这是圣物。

大卫知道扫罗设计谋害他，就对祭司亚比亚他说：“将以弗得拿过来。”

所罗门王对他母亲说：“为何单替他求书念的女子亚比煞呢？也可以为他求国吧！他是我的哥哥，他有祭司亚比亚他和洗鲁雅的儿子约押为辅佐。”
