她卻因這話驚慌起來，反覆思想這樣祝賀是甚麼意思。天使說：“馬利亞，不要怕！因你已從神那裡蒙了恩。

眾人看見了耶穌，都很驚奇，就跑上前去向他問安。

撒迦利亞一見就驚慌起來，十分害怕。

那時，先到墳墓的那門徒也進去，他看見，就信了。

門徒看見他在海面上走，以為是鬼怪，就喊叫起來；因為他們都看見了他，非常恐懼。耶穌立刻對他們說：“放心吧！是我，不要怕。”

就進去，卻找不著主耶穌的身體。她們正為此事猜疑的時候，忽然有兩個人，穿著閃爍耀目的衣服，站在她們旁邊。她們害怕，把臉伏在地上。那兩個人對她們說：“為甚麼在死人中找活人呢？

他又對我說：“但以理啊！不要懼怕，因為自從你第一天決心要明白這些事，又在你的神面前謙卑自己，你禱告的話已蒙垂聽了；我就是因你禱告的話而來的。

我舉目觀看，看見有一個人身穿細麻衣，腰束烏法純金的帶。他的身像水蒼玉，面貌像閃電的樣子，眼睛像火把，手臂和腿像擦亮的銅那麼閃耀，說話的聲音像群眾喊叫的聲音。獨有我但以理看見這異象，那些和我在一起的人都沒有看見，不過他們卻大大驚慌，逃跑躲藏起來了。因此，只有我一人留下來；我看見了這大異象，就全身無力，臉色大變，一點力氣都沒有。我卻仍聽見他說話的聲音；我一聽見他說話的聲音，就沉睡了，臉伏在地。

他就來到我所站的地方；他來到的時候，我就害怕，臉伏在地；他對我說：“人子啊，你要明白！這異象是關於末後的時期的。”
