经上说：“今天，你们如果听见他的声音，就不可硬着你们的心，如同在那悖逆的时候。”到底是谁听见却悖逆了呢？难道不是被摩西从埃及带领出来的那一切人吗？神又向谁发怒了四十年之久呢？难道不是那些犯了罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？他又向谁起誓说，他们绝不能进入他的安息呢？难道不是向那些不肯信从的人吗？这样我们就看出来：他们不能进入，是因不信的缘故。

凡是我所爱的，我都责备、管教。所以你应当热心，应当悔改。

因此，就像圣灵所说的：“今天，你们如果听见他的声音，就不可硬着你们的心，如同在那悖逆的时候，也像在那旷野试探的日子。

“你们不可硬着心，像在米利巴，在旷野中玛撒的日子一样；在那里，你们的祖先尽管看见了我的作为，还是试探我、试验我。四十年之久，我厌恶了那世代，我说：‘他们是心里迷失的子民，他们不认识我的道路。’因此我在怒气中起誓：‘他们绝不能进入我的安息。’”

耶稣说：“你们也是这样无知吗？你们难道不明白一切从外面进到人里面的，不能使人污秽吗？

耶稣知道了，就说：“小信的人哪，你们为什么彼此讨论没有带饼的事呢？你们还不明白吗？难道不记得那五个饼给五千人，你们收拾了几个篮子的碎块吗？也不记得那七个饼给四千人，你们收拾了几个筐子的碎块吗？你们怎么不明白，我对你们说的不是饼的事，而是要你们提防法利赛人和撒都该人的酵母呢？”

耶稣回答说：“因为你们小信。我确实地告诉你们：如果你们有像一粒芥菜种子那样的信仰，就是对这座山说‘从这里移到那里！’它也将移开；而且在你们，将没有不可能的事。

耶稣对他们说：“唉，你们这些无知的人哪！对于信靠先知们所说的一切话，你们的心太迟钝了！

耶稣知道了，就问他们：“你们为什么讨论没有饼的事呢？你们还不明白，还不领悟，还是硬着心吗？你们有眼睛却看不见，有耳朵却听不见吗？难道不记得吗？

然后他对多马说：“把你的指头伸到这里来，看看我的手吧。伸出你的手来，放进我的肋旁吧。不要不信，而要信！”

那日，也就是一周的头一天，傍晚的时候，门徒们所在地方的门户已经关上了，因为他们怕那些犹太人。耶稣出现了，站在他们当中，对他们说：“愿你们平安！”说了这话，他把手和肋旁给他们看。门徒们看见了主，就欢喜。
