百夫長立於前、見其如是氣絕、則曰、斯人誠上帝子也、

百夫長立於前、見其大呼氣絕、曰、此誠上帝子矣、

立於前之百夫長、見耶穌如是大呼而氣絕、乃曰、此人誠為天主之子、

適有巴總在側、見耶穌臨終時情形、乃曰：『斯人真天主子也！』

And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said,“ Surely this man was the Son of God!”

A Roman commander was standing there in front of Jesus. He saw how Jesus died. Then he said,“ This man was surely the Son of God!”

And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said,“ Truly this man was the Son of God!”

When the Roman officer who stood facing him saw how he had died, he exclaimed,“ This man truly was the Son of God!”

When the centurion, who was standing opposite him, saw the way he breathed his last, he said,“ Truly this man was the Son of God!”

And when the centurion, who was standing right in front of Him, saw that He died in this way, he said,“ Truly this man was the Son of God!”

So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said,“ Truly this Man was the Son of God!”

And when the centurion, who stood by over against him, saw that he so gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

When the centurion, who was standing opposite Him, saw the way He breathed His last, he said,“ This man really was God’s Son!”

Now when the centurion, who stood in front of him, saw how he died, he said,“ Truly this man was God’s Son!”

Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian[ band],

And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling[ unto him] the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.And when he knew[ it] of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from[ their] purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast[ themselves] first[ into the sea], and get to land:
