They also presented false witnesses who said,“ This man never stops speaking against this holy place and the law.For we heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us.”

When he finished the address the LORD had commanded him to deliver to all the people, immediately the priests, the prophets, and all the people took hold of him, yelling,“ You must surely die!How dare you prophesy in the name of the LORD,‘ This temple will become like Shiloh and this city will become an uninhabited ruin’!” Then all the people crowded around Jeremiah at the LORD’s temple.

Those who passed by were yelling insults at him, shaking their heads, and saying,“ Ha! The one who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,

So the Jews replied to him,“ What sign will you show us for doing these things?”Jesus answered,“ Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.”Therefore the Jews said,“ This temple took forty-six years to build, and will you raise it up in three days?”But he was speaking about the temple of his body.

and saying,“ You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”

“ Micah the Moreshite prophesied in the days of King Hezekiah of Judah and said to all the people of Judah,‘ This is what the LORD of Armies says: Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become ruins, and the temple’s mountain will be a high thicket.’
