此菑害之始也、

顛倒國位、隳其能力、維車維馬、與乘駕之人、我俱毀之、使民各以鋒刃相擊、

人自謂平康安固、而禍突至、猶妊婦劬勞、其人不得免、

居利巴嫩人巢於柏香木、爾既臨難、若婦劬勞、豈不哀慘。

我聞有聲哀號、若妊婦初產、即郇女之聲、哭泣伸手、曰、殺我者至、禍必不遠、我喪厥膽。

萬有之主耶和華曰、颶風起自地極、災害延於萬邦、

爾素尊之為君長、及遭其難、尚有何詞、豈非劬勞、若婦臨產。
