“ However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

『至於彼時彼日、無人知之。天神不知、人子亦不知、惟父知之。

“ But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

“ But no one knows about that day or hour. Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.

“ But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

“ Now concerning that day or hour no one knows— neither the angels in heaven nor the Son— but only the Father.

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

“ But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

But of that day or that hour knoweth no one, not even the angels in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

“ Now concerning that day or hour no one knows— neither the angels in heaven nor the Son— except the Father.

“ But as for that day or hour no one knows it– neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son– except the Father.

But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

He replied,“ The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know.

“ So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.

“ However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.“ When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day.In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat.People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.“ Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left.Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left.“ So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.

Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you.For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.

Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory.And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world— from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.

“ At midnight they were roused by the shout,‘ Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’

“ After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money.

But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.

This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John,
