“ But no one knows about that day or hour. Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.

『至於彼時彼日、無人知之。天神不知、人子亦不知、惟父知之。

“ But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

“ But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

“ However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

“ Now concerning that day or hour no one knows— neither the angels in heaven nor the Son— but only the Father.

He said to them,“ You should not be concerned about times or dates. The Father has set them by his own authority.

“ So keep watch. You do not know the day or the hour that the groom will come.

“ But no one knows about that day or hour. Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.Remember how it was in the days of Noah. It will be the same when the Son of Man comes.In the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking. They were getting married. They were giving their daughters to be married. They did all those things right up to the day Noah entered the ark.They knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be when the Son of Man comes.Two men will be in the field. One will be taken and the other left.Two women will be grinding with a hand mill. One will be taken and the other left.“ So keep watch. You do not know on what day your Lord will come.

Brothers and sisters, we don’t have to write to you about times and dates.You know very well how the day of the Lord will come. It will come like a thief in the night.

“ At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds. He will come with great power and glory.He will send his angels. He will gather his chosen people from all four directions. He will bring them from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

“ At midnight someone cried out,‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him!’

“ After a long time the master of those slaves returned. He wanted to collect all the money they had earned.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar. Fire will destroy everything in them. God will judge the earth and everything done in it.

So remember what you have been taught and have heard. Hold firmly to it. Turn away from your sins. If you don’t wake up, I will come like a thief. You won’t know when I will come to you.

This is the revelation from Jesus Christ. God gave it to him to show those who serve God what will happen soon. God made it known by sending his angel to his servant John.
