Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives across the valley from the Temple. Peter, James, John, and Andrew came to him privately and asked him,

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately,

In fact, in his public ministry he never taught without using parables; but afterward, when he was alone with his disciples, he explained everything to them.

As Jesus and the disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the town of Bethphage on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead.

His disciples came and asked him,“ Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?”

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.Jesus called out to them,“ Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”And they left their nets at once and followed him.A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets.

Then Jesus stopped the crowd and wouldn’t let anyone go with him except Peter, James, and John( the brother of James).

Six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone.

Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said,“ Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?”

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of these men who heard what John said and then followed Jesus.Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him,“ We have found the Messiah”( which means“ Christ”).

Then, leaving the crowds outside, Jesus went into the house. His disciples said,“ Please explain to us the story of the weeds in the field.”

Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed,

Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came over and spoke to him.“ Teacher,” they said,“ we want you to do us a favor.”

He took Peter, James, and John with him, and he became deeply troubled and distressed.
