Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus.The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him,“ We have found the Messiah”( that is, the Christ). (niv)

Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said,“ Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” (niv)

After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. (niv)

Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him.“ Teacher,” they said,“ we want you to do for us whatever we ask.” (niv)

He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. (niv)
