For there will be greater anguish in those days than at any time since God created the world. And it will never be so great again.

因為，在那些日子必有災難，自從上帝創造萬物直到如今，從沒有這樣的災難，將來也不會有。

因為那是上帝創造天地以來空前絕後的大災難。

因為那些日子必有災難，這是從神創世的開始到現在未曾有過的，以後也必不會再有。

因為那些日子必有苦難；這樣的苦難、從上帝開始創造了創造物、直到如今、還沒有過，將來也一定不會有。

因為在那些日子裡將有患難。這樣的患難從神創世之初直到如今，從來沒有發生過，也絕不再發生。

蓋是時將有災難、自上帝造物之始、以迄於今、未嘗如此、後亦無之、

自上帝造物以來、未有如此、後亦無有、

蓋其時必有大難、自天主大初造物以至於今、未有如此者、後亦無有焉、

斯時之所遭、實為天主創世以來空前絕後之大難也

because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now— and never to be equaled again.

Those days will be worse than any others from the time God created the world until now. And there will never be any like them again.

For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will be.

For those will be days of tribulation, the kind that hasn’t been from the beginning of creation until now and never will be again.

For those days will be such a time of tribulation as has not occurred since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will again.

“ At that time Michael, the archangel who stands guard over your nation, will arise. Then there will be a time of anguish greater than any since nations first came into existence. But at that time every one of your people whose name is written in the book will be rescued.

It is a day of darkness and gloom, a day of thick clouds and deep blackness. Suddenly, like dawn spreading across the mountains, a great and mighty army appears. Nothing like it has been seen before or will ever be seen again.

For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again.

“ After this period of sixty two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end.

You have kept your word and done to us and our rulers exactly as you warned. Never has there been such a disaster as happened in Jerusalem.

For those will be days of God’s vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled.How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. For there will be disaster in the land and great anger against this people.They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end.

now I will‘ destine’ you for the sword. All of you will bow down before the executioner. For when I called, you did not answer. When I spoke, you did not listen. You deliberately sinned— before my very eyes— and chose to do what you know I despise.”Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ My servants will eat, but you will starve. My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. My servants will rejoice, but you will be sad and ashamed.My servants will sing for joy, but you will cry in sorrow and despair.Your name will be a curse word among my people, for the Sovereign Lord will destroy you and will call his true servants by another name.

What can I say about you? Who has ever seen such sorrow? O daughter of Jerusalem, to what can I compare your anguish? O virgin daughter of Zion, how can I comfort you? For your wound is as deep as the sea. Who can heal you?

“ Now search all of history, from the time God created people on the earth until now, and search from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything as great as this ever been seen or heard before?

then the Lord will overwhelm you and your children with indescribable plagues. These plagues will be intense and without relief, making you miserable and unbearably sick.

But‘ God made them male and female’ from the beginning of creation.

The guilt of my people is greater than that of Sodom, where utter disaster struck in a moment and no hand offered help.

“ Then the generations to come, both your own descendants and the foreigners who come from distant lands, will see the devastation of the land and the diseases the Lord inflicts on it.They will exclaim,‘ The whole land is devastated by sulfur and salt. It is a wasteland with nothing planted and nothing growing, not even a blade of grass. It is like the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord destroyed in his intense anger.’“ And all the surrounding nations will ask,‘ Why has the Lord done this to this land? Why was he so angry?’“ And the answer will be,‘ This happened because the people of the land abandoned the covenant that the Lord, the God of their ancestors, made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.Instead, they turned away to serve and worship gods they had not known before, gods that were not from the Lord.That is why the Lord’s anger has burned against this land, bringing down on it every curse recorded in this book.In great anger and fury the Lord uprooted his people from their land and banished them to another land, where they still live today!’

“ Does it mean nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see if there is any suffering like mine, which the Lord brought on me when he erupted in fierce anger.
