那王必與許多人締結一七之久的盟約。一七之半，他必終止祭牲和供物，並且設立帶來毀滅的可憎之物，直到所定的結局臨到這惡者。」

他的軍隊必褻瀆聖地，褻瀆那堡壘，廢除日常獻的祭，設立帶來毀滅的可憎之物。

這裡藏有玄機，聰明的人可以計算那怪獸的代號，因為那是一個人的代號，是「六百六十六」。

敵人伸手奪去她的一切珍寶。她目睹外族人闖入聖殿——那是耶和華禁止他們進入的地方。

弟兄姊妹，你們的思想不要像小孩子，要長大成熟，但在罪惡的事上要像嬰孩。

「你們看見耶路撒冷被重兵包圍時，就知道它被毀滅的日子快到了。那時，住在猶太地區的人要趕快逃到山上去，住在城裡的人要跑到城外，住在鄉村的人不要進城，因為那是報應的日子，要應驗聖經的全部記載。那時，孕婦和哺育嬰兒的母親們可就遭殃了！因為將有大災難降在這地方，烈怒要臨到這些人民。他們要死在刀劍之下，要被擄到外國去。耶路撒冷要被外族人蹂躪，直到外族人肆虐的日期滿了為止。

接著，我聽見一位聖者在說話，另一位聖者問他：「異象中出現的有關日常所獻的祭，毀滅性的反叛和踐踏聖所及天軍的事要持續多久呢？」

「『因此，主耶和華說，以色列人中身心未受割禮的外族人不可進入我的聖所。

腓利跑上前，聽見太監在誦讀以賽亞先知的書，就問：「你明白所讀的經文嗎？」他說：「沒有人為我解釋，我怎能明白呢？」他就請腓利上車和他一起坐。

那位宣讀這預言的人和那些聽見並遵守其中內容的人有福了，因為日期近了。

你們明白這些事了嗎？」他們回答說：「我們明白了。」

「當你們看見但以理先知所說的『那帶來毀滅的可憎之物』站立在聖地的時候（讀者須會意），住在猶太地區的人要趕快逃到山上去，在屋頂上的人不要下來進屋收拾行李，在田間工作的人也不要回家取外衣。那時，孕婦和哺育嬰兒的母親們可就遭殃了！你們要祈求上帝，不要讓你們在冬天或安息日逃難，因為那時世上將有空前絕後的大災難。如果不縮短那段時期，恐怕沒有一人能活命。但上帝必為祂選民的緣故，而縮短那災期。「那時，如果有人對你們說，『看啊！基督在這裡』，或說，『基督在那裡』，你們不要相信。因為假基督和假先知將出現，行很大的神蹟奇事來迷惑人，如果可能，甚至要迷惑上帝揀選的子民。你們要記住，我已經預先告訴你們了。「因此，如果有人對你們說，『看啊！基督在曠野』，你們不要出去；或者說，『看啊！基督在屋裡』，你們也不要相信。人子降臨時的情形就像閃電從東方發出一直照到西方。屍體在哪裡，禿鷹就會聚集在哪裡。

就連沒有生命的簫和琴，如果發出的聲音雜亂無章，誰能知道所吹所彈的是什麼曲子呢？如果號聲不清楚，誰會預備打仗呢？
