乃答不知。耶穌曰：『則吾亦不願告爾憑何權而行此矣。』

So they answered Jesus,“ We don’t know.” Jesus said,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”

So they answered Jesus,“ We don’t know.” Jesus said,“ Then I won’t tell you by what authority I am doing these things either.”

So they answered Jesus,“ We do not know.” And Jesus said to them,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

So they finally replied,“ We don’t know.” And Jesus responded,“ Then I won’t tell you by what authority I do these things.”

So they answered Jesus,“ We don’t know.” And Jesus said to them,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

Answering Jesus, they* said,“ We do not know.” And Jesus* said to them,“ Neither am I telling you by what authority I do these things.”

So they answered and said to Jesus,“ We do not know.” And Jesus answered and said to them,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

And they answered Jesus and say, We know not. And Jesus saith unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

So they answered Jesus,“ We don’t know.” And Jesus said to them,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

He answered,“ I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?” (niv)

Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. (niv)

The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.” (niv)

Be stunned and amazed, blind yourselves and be sightless; be drunk, but not from wine, stagger, but not from beer.The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep: He has sealed your eyes( the prophets); he has covered your heads( the seers).For you this whole vision is nothing but words sealed in a scroll. You give a tenth of your spices— mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law— justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.“ Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and the teachers of the law, met together, and Jesus was led before them.“ If you are the Messiah,” they said,“ tell us.” Jesus answered,“ If I tell you, you will not believe me,and if I asked you, you would not answer.But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.” (niv)

Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But my people do not know the requirements of the Lord.“‘ How can you say,“ We are wise, for we have the law of the Lord,” when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the Lord, what kind of wisdom do they have? (niv)

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him.Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes. (niv)

and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lieand so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (niv)

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (niv)

So they answered Jesus,“ We don’t know.” Then he said,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things. (niv)

He catches the wise in their craftiness, and the schemes of the wily are swept away. (niv)

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. (niv)

Who is blind but my servant, and deaf like the messenger I send? Who is blind like the one in covenant with me, blind like the servant of the Lord?You have seen many things, but you pay no attention; your ears are open, but you do not listen.” (niv)

my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.“ Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. (niv)

At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.“ All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” (niv)

Israel’s watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep. (niv)

“ You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus,“ and do you not understand these things? (niv)

He said,“ Go and tell this people:“‘ Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.” (niv)

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature— have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools (niv)

“ For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth.But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi,” says the Lord Almighty. (niv)
