耶稣说：“摩西因为你们的心硬，所以写这条例给你们；

耶穌說：「摩西因為你們的心硬，所以寫這條例給你們；

耶穌說：「摩西因為你們心硬，才給你們寫了這條誡命。

耶穌說：“因為你們的心硬，摩西才寫這條例給你們。

耶穌對他們說：『是為着你們的硬心摩西才寫了這條誡命給你們的。

耶穌對他們說：「摩西因著你們的心裡剛硬，才給你們定下這條誡命。

耶穌曰、以爾心頑、故書斯命予爾、

耶穌曰、摩西以爾心忍、故有斯命、

耶穌曰、摩西以爾心忍、故有此命、

耶穌曰：『摩西以爾心如鐵石、故為爾書此誡命、非得已也。

“ It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied.

“ You were stubborn. That’s why Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied.

And Jesus said to them,“ Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.

But Jesus responded,“ He wrote this commandment only as a concession to your hard hearts.

But Jesus told them,“ He wrote this command for you because of the hardness of your hearts.

But Jesus said to them,“ Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.

And Jesus answered and said to them,“ Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

But Jesus said unto them, For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.

But Jesus told them,“ He wrote this command for you because of the hardness of your hearts.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

But Jesus said to them,“ He wrote this commandment for you because of your hard hearts.

But Jesus said to them,“ For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.

“ But they, our ancestors, became arrogant and stiff- necked, and they did not obey your commands.They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them, (niv)

“ You stiff- necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit! (niv)

“ But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they turned their backs on your law. They killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you; they committed awful blasphemies. (niv)

Jesus replied,“ Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. (niv)

So, as the Holy Spirit says:“ Today, if you hear his voice,do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness,where your ancestors tested and tried me, though for forty years they saw what I did.That is why I was angry with that generation; I said,‘ Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.’ (niv)

For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you have been rebellious against the Lord while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after I die! (niv)

Understand, then, that it is not because of your righteousness that the Lord your God is giving you this good land to possess, for you are a stiff-necked people. (niv)
