耶穌曰：『何稱我為善？善者唯一、天主是已。

“ Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered.“ No one is good— except God alone.

And he said unto him, Why askest thou me concerning that which is good? One there is who is good: but if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments.

There is none holy as Jehovah; For there is none besides thee, Neither is there any rock like our God.

I receive not glory from men.But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in yourselves.I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and the glory that cometh from the only God ye seek not?

Thou art good, and doest good; Teach me thy statutes.

How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; And thou wilt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness unto all them that call upon thee.

They have all turned aside, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not so much as one:
