亞述人侵伐我地、蹂躪我境、彼必以鋒刃攻亞述之國、寧綠之境、以免我民於患難。

必以鋒刃攻亞述地、以戈矛伐寧綠國、亞述人如入我地、履我境、彼必救我脫於其難、

who will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, the land of Nimrod with drawn sword. He will deliver us from the Assyrians when they invade our land and march across our borders.

They will use their swords to rule over Assyria. They’ll rule the land of Nimrod with swords that are ready to strike. The Assyrians will march across our borders and attack our land. But the promised ruler will save us from them.

they shall shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at its entrances; and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian when he comes into our land and treads within our border.

They will rule Assyria with drawn swords and enter the gates of the land of Nimrod. He will rescue us from the Assyrians when they pour over the borders to invade our land.

在以色列王比加的日子，亚述王提革拉‧毗列色来夺取以云、亚伯‧伯‧玛迦、亚挪、基低斯、夏琐、基列、加利利和拿弗他利全地，把这些地方的居民都掳到亚述去了。

“所以耶和华论亚述王如此说：他必不得来到这城，也不在这里射箭，不得拿盾牌到城前，也不建土堆攻城。他从哪条路来，必从那条路回去，必不得来到这城。这是耶和华说的。因我为自己的缘故，又为我仆人大卫的缘故，必保护拯救这城。”当夜，耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来，看哪，都是死尸。

希西家王第四年，也就是以拉的儿子以色列王何细亚第七年，亚述王撒缦以色上来围困撒玛利亚。过了三年，他们攻取了城。希西家第六年，以色列王何细亚第九年，撒玛利亚被攻取了。亚述王把以色列人掳到亚述，安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，以及玛代人的城镇。这是因为他们不听从耶和华—他们的神的话，违背了他的约；他们既不听从，也不遵行耶和华仆人摩西一切所吩咐的。希西家王十四年，亚述王西拿基立上来攻击犹大的一切坚固的城，将城攻取。犹大王希西家派人到拉吉，亚述王那里，说：“我错了，求你撤退离开我；凡你罚我的，我必承当。”于是亚述王罚犹大王希西家三百他连得银子，三十他连得金子。希西家把耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的银子都给了他。

狮子的洞，幼狮喂养之处在哪里呢？公狮、母狮、小狮出入，无人使它们惊吓之地在哪里呢？公狮撕碎的足够给幼狮吃，又为母狮掐死猎物，把猎物塞满它的洞穴，把撕碎的装满它的窝。看哪，我与你为敌，将它的战车焚烧成烟，刀剑必吞灭你的少壮狮子；我必从地上除灭你的猎物，你使者的声音必不再听见。这是万军之耶和华说的。祸哉！这流人血的城，欺诈连连，抢夺充斥，掳掠的事总不止息。鞭声响亮，车轮轰轰，马匹跳跃，战车奔腾；骑兵争先，刀剑发光，枪矛闪烁，被杀的甚多，尸首成堆，尸骸无数，人因尸骸而绊跌，

‘他拯救我们脱离仇敌，脱离一切恨我们之人的手。

外邦人要将他们带回本地。以色列家必在耶和华的地上得外邦人为仆婢，也要掳掠先前掳掠他们的，辖制先前欺压他们的。

亚述王撒缦以色上来攻击何细亚，何细亚就服事他，向他进贡。何细亚背叛，派使者到埃及王梭那里，不照往年所行的向亚述王进贡。亚述王知道了，就逮捕他，把他囚在监里。亚述王上来攻击以色列全地，上到撒玛利亚，围困这城三年。

祸哉！你这未遭毁灭而毁灭人的人，人未以诡诈待你而你以诡诈待人的人！等你行完了毁灭，自己必被毁灭；你行完了诡诈，人必以诡诈待你。

所以耶和华使亚述王的将领来攻击他们，用手铐铐住玛拿西，用铜链锁住他，把他带到巴比伦去。

叫我们既从仇敌手中被救出来，就可以终身在他面前，无所惧怕地用圣洁和公义事奉他。

祸哉！亚述，我怒气的棍！他们手中的杖是我的恼恨。我要差遣他攻击亵渎的国，吩咐他对付我所恼怒的民，抢走掳物，夺取掠物，将他们践踏，如同街上的泥土一般。然而，这并非他的意念，他的心不是这样打算；他的心要摧毁，要剪除不少的国家。他说：“我的官长岂不都是君王吗？迦勒挪岂不像迦基米施吗？哈马岂不像亚珥拔吗？撒玛利亚岂不像大马士革吗？既然我的手已伸到了这些有偶像的国，他们所雕刻的偶像过于耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的偶像，我岂不照样待耶路撒冷和其中的偶像，如同我待撒玛利亚和其中的偶像吗？”主在锡安山和耶路撒冷成就他一切工作的时候，说：“我必惩罚亚述王自大的心和他高傲尊贵的眼目。”

耶和华要伸手攻击北方，毁灭亚述，使尼尼微荒凉，干旱如同旷野。
