All the nations may walk in the name of their gods, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.

你們且過到基提海島去察看，打發人往基達去留心查考，看曾有這樣的事沒有。豈有一國換了他的神嗎？其實這不是神！但我的百姓將他們的榮耀換了那無益的神。

他們直到如今仍照先前的風俗去行，不專心敬畏耶和華，不全守自己的規矩、典章，也不遵守耶和華吩咐雅各後裔的律法、誡命。（雅各，就是從前耶和華起名叫以色列的。）

我的神我的王啊，我要尊崇你！我要永永遠遠稱頌你的名！我要天天稱頌你，也要永永遠遠讚美你的名！

亞伯蘭年九十九歲的時候，耶和華向他顯現，對他說：「我是全能的神。你當在我面前作完全人，

我要來說主－耶和華大能的事；我單要提說你的公義。

若是你們以事奉耶和華為不好，今日就可以選擇所要事奉的：是你們列祖在大河那邊所事奉的神呢？是你們所住這地的亞摩利人的神呢？至於我和我家，我們必定事奉耶和華。」

神對摩西說：「我是自有永有的」；又說：「你要對以色列人這樣說：『那自有的打發我到你們這裏來。』」神又對摩西說：「你要對以色列人這樣說：『耶和華－你們祖宗的神，就是亞伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神，打發我到你們這裏來。』耶和華是我的名，直到永遠；這也是我的紀念，直到萬代。
