You who hate good and love evil, Who tear off their skin from them And their flesh from their bones,

you who hate good and love evil; who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones;

But you hate what is good. And you love what is evil. You are like someone who tears the skin off my people. You pull the meat off their bones.

but you are the very ones who hate good and love evil. You skin my people alive and tear the flesh from their bones.

ye who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

Her leaders within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to make dishonest profit.

Those who abandon the Law praise the wicked, But those who keep the Law strive against them.

Have the workers of injustice no knowledge, Who eat up My people like they ate bread, And have not called upon God?

Love must be free of hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good.

What do you mean by crushing My people And oppressing the face of the poor?” Declares the Lord God of armies.

And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord, and by doing so bring wrath on yourself from the Lord?

A despicable person is despised in his eyes, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He takes an oath to his own detriment, and does not change;

So the king of Israel assembled the prophets, about four hundred men, and said to them,“ Should I go to battle against Ramoth gilead or should I refrain?” And they said,“ Go up, for the Lord will hand it over to the king.”But Jehoshaphat said,“ Is there no longer a prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of him?”And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, but I hate him, because he does not prophesy anything good regarding me, but only bad. He is Micaiah the son of Imlah.” But Jehoshaphat said,“ May the king not say so.”

Then Ahab said to Elijah,“ Have you found me, enemy of mine?” And he answered,“ I have found you, because you have given yourself over to do evil in the sight of the Lord.

The one who hates Me hates My Father also.If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.

and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

Hear this, you who trample the needy, to put an end to the humble of the land,saying,“ When will the new moon be over, So that we may sell grain; And the Sabbath, so that we may open the wheat market, To make the ephah smaller and the shekel bigger, And to cheat with dishonest scales,So as to buy the helpless for money, And the needy for a pair of sandals, And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?”

“ You men who are stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.Which one of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They killed those who had previously announced the coming of the Righteous One, and you have now become betrayers and murderers of Him;

“ If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

This is what the Lord my God says:“ Pasture the flock doomed to slaughter.Those who buy them slaughter them and go unpunished, and each of those who sell them says,‘ Blessed be the Lord, for I have become rich!’ And their own shepherds have no compassion for them.

So they shouted again, saying,“ Not this Man, but Barabbas.” Now Barabbas was a rebel.

The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify about it, that its deeds are evil.

Do I not hate those who hate You, Lord? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?I hate them with the utmost hatred; They have become my enemies.

unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self control, brutal, haters of good,

They hate him who rebukes in the gate, And they despise him who speaks with integrity.Therefore because you impose heavy rent on the poor And take a tribute of grain from them, Though you have built houses of cut stone, Yet you will not live in them; You have planted beautiful vineyards, yet you will not drink their wine.For I know your offenses are many and your sins are great, You who are hostile to the righteous and accept bribes, And turn away the poor from justice at the gate.Therefore at such a time the prudent person keeps quiet, because it is an evil time.Seek good and not evil, so that you may live; And so may the Lord God of armies be with you, Just as you have said!

But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying,‘ We do not want this man to reign over us.’

You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat sheep without feeding the flock.

Her leaders within her are roaring lions, Her judges are wolves at evening; They have no bones to gnaw in the morning.
